Storm Area 404

Yea I wish it was that easy. If we don't start landing some big time o lineman, expect more of the same for the next few years.

You can coach up linemen to be studs. I’ve played with no stars and 2 stars going into college that are now NFL starters and Super Bowl winners.

We’ve got one of the best to do it. Key has put double digit guys into the NFL. He also has a ton of players that were on the cusp of making the 53 man rosters.

How do feel as regards that same applying to DL?

Yes

It does happen, however it is easier to get the talent AND provide great coaching than it is to get 12 low rated OLs on a team and then expect to coach all 12 up to a proficient level

I'll never understand why GT folks love doing things the hard way

BC, ND, Michigan, Penn St, Stanford have had good success with sending OLs to the NFL, GT offers a better on campus environment + the City than all those schools except Stanford

We need to do better getting the academic Qualifiers in State to choose GT, and we need to attack BC's , ND's , Michigan's OLine Recruits and offer them a better "option" than cold weather & mediocre looking women with thick ankles

We need to start recruiting like madmen

I think the point is you can develop and coach up lineman better than you can skill positions, at least to a point. It is near impossible to coach speed once a guy is 18; it is near impossible to coach elusiveness or athleticism once you reach 18.

You can put on weight, add strength and learn OL technique once you get them to campus so there is a chance that a Redshirt Sophomore 3 star under Key is as good as the UGA 4 star true freshman at OL.

It is near impossible to take a 3 star RB and make him as good as Todd Gurley at any point in time.

But yes of course I would rather have highly rating players at all positions.

Would you like to repeat that attitude this Saturday?
Pretty sure you asked me this question once. Even more sure I gave you some pretty clear instructions which you don't seem to have even tried to follow. Or maybe you did and you failed, which is funnier, but leaves you with a job still to do.
