listening to 680 this morning on the internet and both times at the Buzz report, their commercial cut in without the report finishing.

Unless this is some hint that they might be finally getting the ACC Network?

Comcast/Xfinity has released a statement of their position - they are digging in and not carrying the ACC Network in the near future:

What’s happening with ACC Network?
For years, Atlantic Coast Conference sports aired on ESPN and other networks at no additional cost to customers. Now, ESPN has launched the ACC Network, a new TV network that will carry some of the ACC games. Unfortunately, they are demanding a large fee to carry it. This would mean that all customers, even those who do not watch ACC sports, would need to pay more. Many ACC games are still available on broadcast and cable channels without the new network. However, in support of our customers, Comcast will not carry the ACC Network until we reach an agreement at a fair and reasonable cost.

Is Comcast trying to protect the SEC??

Any Tech fan who doesn't immediately cancel Comcast is a traitor
Already did. Never would have considered being a cord cutter before but I dropped their tv and went to HuluLive to get the ACCN.

In some ways I agree with them that it’s bullshit. ESPN is parting out their network like a chop shop and charging extra for it.

But on the other hand, this is the same bullshit Comcast and others have been doing to their customers with ridiculous bundles and other packages. What goes around comes around.

This is not really true. The games on ACCN are games that were on Raycom/JP previously. ESPN had nothing to do with it.

If cable cos don’t like it, they should package the sports channels into a different tier and let consumers vote with their wallets. But if they carry SEC but not ACC Net then they are assholes.

Comcast bundles the Big 10 in their sports package. They should add the ACC or allow a selection between the ACC and Big 10.
