True, we only had two penalties the entire game -and I still do not know what the first one was for- blocking a guy who turned to peruse the ballcarrier and semi-blindsiding him?
The defender blindsided himself, offensive player clearly held back. Is here supposed to run away from contact?

It seemed like USF would start to block for their WR screens a good bit before the pass was complete which doesn't seem legal.

What’s up with Jalen Camp? Is he not fast or quick enough to get separation?

He’s only been targeted once in 2 games. What’s the deal with him?

I’m just glad we have Harvin
And that USF has Charlie Strong
Yes, when USF ran it up the middle in their last series for no gain, I thought "damn, I bet USF fans are swearing at Strong right now"

Legal as long as the pass is completed behind the LOS.

Positives (offense)
9 different receivers caught passes (Jalen Camp wasn’t one of them)
Played with our 4th string (?) walk on center getting majority of snaps.
Energy/body language was consistently good
T Oliver’s drive

There’s gotta be a method to the QB substitution madness, I just don’t know what it is. J Graham must not be ready beyond a limited package.
14 completions and 2 passing first downs seems difficult to do
Gameday experience is much better

what to do at QB?
There was a point in the game when I said to myself that it’s too bad we didn’t have this OC when Calvin was here. But we do not have a QB.
I think we either run the option with Oliver or keep Oliver on the field with Lucas.

Mason is fantastic. Wow!
Brown is good but made two freshman mistakes in the 4th qtr.
Davis is ok. Freshman tight end should sit.
We have no WR, so why throw the ball often.
We really should try and shorten the games this year and run.
WR are fine, just need to throw it down field to them

Harvin, Mason, and our secondary are the highlights so far. We get gashed on D here and there, but I'm surprised how well our secondary is covering with minimal pass rush. Tackling is significantly better than last year.

The offense is painful and it starts with the o-line. Jury is still out on Patenaude, but you can see why he's forced to try many different things.

Lucas may be our best passer, but we can't give him enough time to sit in the pocket and throw. Tobias is playing hard and taking a pounding, but he's our weakest passer. I think Graham is the best dual-threat guy and if you're going to settle on one, I like him with Tobias staying on the field as a back or receiver. With the o-line being where they are, I think they need to get Graham on designed rollouts more. Simple reads and back shoulder stuff or tuck it and run.

Oh, and the swinging gate gimmick has to go.

Haven't weighed in on the offense. Honestly, after two games, I'm not sure what we are trying to do. One thing I believe is that we need to throw the ball more and to do so effectively, you'll have to move the quarterback out of the pocket. And, we need to settle on a quarterback and stick with him.

I’d like to see Juanyeh back returning punts. He muffed one bad last week, but he’s still the most electric returner we’ve had in a while.

Lucas may be the best passer but he's not that great at finding open receivers. He missed a few wide open receivers because he's just not scanning the field.

I'm stoked about the quantum improvement on defense but the inability to generate any passing threat at all is a little frustrating given the apparent talent level of Graham and Johnson.
