Should have taken the pic during a play so we'd all be cheering
 
Ok so I've always wondered about the south endzone student section never being full, especially the right corner. Zooming in from this photo, it appears section 136 is separate from the rest of that section. There is a fully connected rail between it and section 135, just like the rails that separate club level seats from the regular peasant seating on either side. Anybody know what the deal is with this? Is that a separate section for something else and maybe why it isn't usually full? There is no option to buy seats there, it shows that entire endzone section as student seating.

The rail goes all the way down except for 1 row. The cheerleaders standing the concourse means that the bottom of 136 never really fills up unless it's a really big game.

I always thought that was a leftover from the time the south stands were added. The band was moved to that side of the field in that section for one season before overwhelming feedback told them to move them back to the north stands.

Even after the band was moved the South stands were always full of students in the mid-late '00s and was one of the rowdiest places in the stadium. That definitely changed.

That makes sense about the band being there. Another reason I asked is because looking at the Panoramic picture, everybody from 135 over pretty much looks like students. There are a lot of folks in 136 that I highly doubt are students.
