FSU is a full fledged dumpster fire. I watched that game. Wow.
UNC has a really, really, really good freshman QB (Sam Howell). They will be a problem.
Syracuse gave us the weekly ACC OOC faceplant. Thanks guys.
UVA looks good but we know they will choke at some point.
Miami looks improved. They too have a good looking true freshman QB, but not as polished as Howell.
Wake looks decent.
Duke... not impressed.
Edit: Oh yeah, Clemson might be decent this year

That's all I got. Anyone else in the league look good/bad/indifferent?

Predictions of our last place finish might have been accurate. We will need vast improvement to be competitive with Duke, NCST, VPI, etc. Hopefully our former Saban assistant will ultimately have the same success that Locksley is having at Maryland. Our performance against South Florida puts "winless in the conference" back in the conversation.

What exactly were you expecting this year dumbass

VPI? If mighty ODU can put up points against the overrated Chokies, so will we. Fuentes is gone after this season - he sux as HC.
Duke sucks. No idea on NCSt. UNC and Miami appear to be better than we are but we can only improve each week.
Our D is better than expected IMO, so far.

Did you watch the game Saturday? We struggled with the greatness that is South Florida. We'd struggle against Old Dominion. We will struggle in every game left on our schedule. Besides not having enough good athletes, we are making bonehead decisions, penalties, turnovers, did you see the field goal? We are also racking up injuries already. I am suggesting that the coaching staff has spent more time scouting and recruiting future players than they have on evaluating the players and their skill sets that are currently playing. I am not criticizing that strategy--it might be the right way to go right now. You can't coach a guy who is at 265 up to 325. You are not going to make Tobias Oliver into a Joe Hamilton.

Still wait and see with UNC. Defense appear better. Run game is still not there. Howell been ok not as stellar as everyone giving in credit for. Played vs. two undisciplined teams

I’m not sure what Miami team you watched. Their OLine is worst than ours with no improvement insight.

Yep - watched every play. I saw most of the boneheaded decisions on the O side. Zero argument that there's a ton of work to do on the Offense.
I also agree re:FG. King is flat-out not a college PK. Not sure why he was trotted out there. The kid just doesn't have it during gametime. Bad coaching decision there IMO. Either trot out wells, go for it, or have Harvin coffin-corner it.
re: Injuries. Agreed but that got PJ a pass in 2015. Doubt it will here lol.

Unless it's mop-up duty, I don't think LJ should see any more snaps at this point. Put Graham out there and let him make plays and get exp.

I just think you overrate the ACC. I think USF would win a few games in the Coastal - I think we will too.

I was worried how accurate the spread was against a team that got its doors blown off by Wisky. Basically home field advantage give or take (-4). My outlook for the rest of the season will be much more conservative.

Hopefully Miami will lose a couple more tough games and quit, as is common with them. Maybe that will give us a shot.

VT does not look good. Defense still looked terrible against BC and their QB throws balls into coverage like he’s got Moss on the other end. We’re gonna be able to run on them again and I put the over under for INTs forced at 2.5.

Listening to Packer and Durham and they said what has been said here
Tobias has to be on the field, somehow, some way

The Canes are still good on D and had two tough games to open with
I don’t know what Mack has done, other than not get in the way, but the Heels are better than they have been
UVA is going to be good. That D plus Perkins at QB gives them a shot
It might take a while to sort out how good/not good Pitt is. Didn’t set the world on fire against the team from another Athens. And they get Penitentiary State next
Thought all along folks were way too high on the Cuse. But good lord that was embarrassing
FSU is horseshit, plain and simple. Bowden is rolling over in his grave and he’s still alive

Penalties? We have had 2 per game to start the season. Can't be much better than that.

It isn’t just QB play that is holding us back. OL is thin. That combo isn’t conducive to offensive continuity.

This is like an old Heather dinich column after she realized the only way to get promoted was Weinstein her way up.

Has she gone into hiding?
Haven’t seen hide nor fivehead of her lately

UNC could end up being good but I'm not sold yet. USCe is a trash, and Miami is well on it's way to becoming a dumpster fire. UNC had late rallys to beat both of those teams.

I don't think Fuente is gone next year- buyout will be at ~12 mil. VPI are cheap boosters too.
