Obviously these are skewed with playing @Clemson Week 1. But here are the main Offensive/Defensive Stats so far. And added in some notable feel-good ones at the end since the O/D aren't as favorable yet. I'd expect all those defensive ranks to creep up as teams don't have 50/100% of their games against cupcakes.

Note that this is a mashup of the GTAA Game Notes and the NCAA Stat page which don't match exactly.

Stat (ACC Rank, National Rank)

3rd Down % Offense

---------------------------------------------------------
Points Allowed

Total Defense

Passing Defense

Rushing Defense
251.5 ypg (14th, 127th)

3rd Down % Defense

---------------------------------------------------------

The penalty stat is just astounding to me. 15 pypg is unheard of for Tech.

Although Clemson and USF represent opposite ends of the spectrum in terms of talent, which in turn has influence on any statistics at this point, these numbers are good to see.

Passing defense, penalty yards, and TFL are all extremely impressive given the competition.

I’d imagine our SOS is in the upper quartile of all FBS right now. Even with USF being so bad this year. @Clemson is currently to most difficult game on any schedule in the country.

And we get our cupcake this weekend to balance out Clemson and since most folks have already had their cupcake, that should help quite a bit.

I wonder where we are on the net punting scale. Found it - 72nd nationally. But we punt 7 times a game which is top 5 nationally.

Yes, we punt s e v e n times per game. Seven. Wow.

Net might not be too good cuz he was pooching a lot, I bet he leads the country at punts inside the 20
