So far the candidates might be:
1950: 13-14 loss to Virginia Military Institute(6-3 but a win against ööööty VPISU)
1932: 13-14 loss to Carneige Tech (5-3-1 with win over Temple(who beat Penn State and Missouri)
1926: 13-7 loss to Olgethorpe (no information on Olgethorpe's record)
1902: 17-0 loss to St Albans

So this is the worst loss since 1926.

Nope. MTSU is still FBS. They actually have the same amount of scholarship players, unlike the Citadel who has 22 less tan us. It also didn't end with our coach calling a timeout to prevent the game winning touchdown and subsequent agonizing overtime.

I've heard about the Furman loss so many times, and it predates my fandom by quite a long time. Which means, we will never escape talk of this loss.
