CGC has some 'splainin to do

This is the worst loss in my experience of being a Tech fan which goes back to 1980.

Just think about that for a few minutes.
I was at the Furman loss. It wasn't this bad because we had been mediocre so long it was just "meh"

The first two years are much, much more a reflection of the old coach than the new coach. We were very good in 2008 and 2009 due to CCGs great recruiting. We will likely have very poor years in 2019 and 2020 due to .........

I don't think that's entirely true. I think Johnson's early success was a case of talented players with the right coach to maximize their skill sets. It just so happened that we had a 4-star QB who we were already using for nothing but QB keepers anyway in 2007, a bulky, game-breaking running back perfect for B-back, and a tall, physical receiver who could feast on single coverage.

Our players this year would still perform fine in PJ's offense, and we definitely would've won today. From a personnel perspective, we don't have a QB on the roster who seems equipped to run anything "NFL-based," our tight ends are basically nonexistent, and our OL--already a huge question mark--is dropping like flies. That's not even getting into the coaching, which was the bigger issue today.

Seriously, I would really like to know what was said/done during the locker room at halftime. Anyone in the know care to illustrate?

This is just prep to make our win over uga the most embarrassing loss in dwag history.
Here is what plays will look like against UGAg
1st down, incomplete pass or sack
2nd down, handoff from shotgun, UGAg gets penetration. Loss of 6
3rd down. Sack for a big loss with Johnson or Oliver tries to make something happen on a broken play.
Punt

UGAg. Lines up. Under center some, shotgun some. Hands ball off 60 times. Rushes for 450+. Beats our ass

You mean Yates tecmo bowls up and down the field scoring the first touchdown as time expires.

why the öööö is anyone making any excuses for losing to the citadel lmao

no matter how much rebuilding any team is doing, there's no excuse for losing to them. absolutely none. anyone here would have called a better game.

Not so much excusing this loss in particular, but excusing sucking in general. Collins' contract length says TStan will judge nothing until year 3.

But today, yeah. At the first sign of this being a game, we should have stuck with Oliver. The QB rotation has to go, especially mid series. Whenever the defense saw Lucas trot in on 3rd down, they just pinned their ears back.

Could Yates have won us this game? We have four games to use him, right?

There's a difference between waiting until year 3 to judge our head coach, and giving our öööötastic OC the boot right ööööing now. We don't have a 7 year contract with the roulette wheel of suck.

Not sure who would take the job today or if its feasible to make a switch at this point, but Patenaude does look in way over his head.
