We got screwed by the refs

I know it's pathetic to blame the refs for losing to an FCS team. But I personally have a hard time accepting that we lost to an FCS team

The mistake was not using the last timeout to negate the 10 sec runoff and stop the clock. Much better to be first down with 26 seconds and no timeouts with clock starting on snap.

Dont know why the confusion because the clock is supposed to start on ready for play if we allow the runoff.

I think because the officials told him and announced on TV differently.

Guys, a head coach should know the rules. I knew the clock would start when the ball was placed. So did the time keeper. It’s not the refs fault that the head coach and QB don’t know the rules irregardless if the ref misspoke. Perhaps our coach should have told the ref that he was wrong when he said snap. Seriously, this is basic stuff.

1) You take the TO with 23 seconds and don’t take the runoff. That way you should get 1 play, spike the ball, maybe a 2nd play and then kick the FG.

2) If you don’t, then you have to call the TO after our next play because that is the ONLY reason to save it. If not, all you do is steal our last chance to run a play which is what Collins did. Collins is not an Offense guy and it shows.

3) The ref clearly said the clock would start on ready to play, which is the whistle. A coach has to be paying attention and know the rules.

This was definitely a coaching error, but it was just one of many clock management errors with this staff!

I see your rules are rules and raise you a 5th down

I’m still po’ed at Missouri coach Bob Stull for letting that take place. I don’t blame Colorado. Stull should have been on the field in the refs face.

Didn’t Gardner Webb come down something like this, without the clock issue

I don't know about this. Feels like damned if you do, damned if you don't.

If PJ would’ve stepped in as our coach for the last 23 seconds, we’d have won.

And I don't think the game tying FG was good yesterday.

You have to be prepared for a ööööass officiating crew. That said those guys were straight outta hell. Worst I've seen in probably a decade.

That whole “12 men on the field,” “under review,” “never mind, I can’t count to 11” thing was ridiculous.
