It shouldn’t take that long to be relevant again. Can’t imagine recruiting being any good if the team isn’t making strides towards the end of next season.
 
Maybe CGC can be like Chan and hire a new OC every year.

Literally every single year.

I have to believe that an ATL rating is relative to others in your position. So it means that none of our QBs are standing head and shoulders over the others and it really means that we don’t have a true QB. We have one who can run really well from wildcat formations, but that’s the job of a running back who wants to scare defenses with the occasional passing threat. So that’s where we are right now. If we had one who was so much better than the others, he’d play the majority of snaps.

Edit- relativity is also proven by the OL where they are all clearly BTL.

It sucks. It’s disappointing. But it’s really not the end of the world.

It HAS to be relative to make any sense at all. I can buy it somewhat for positions not named Quarterback, but you don't pull a clear number 1 QB out of the game just to be fair to the other guy because he does well in practice. We just don't have a clear number 1 (although Oliver is the best athlete on the field and would have won us the game yesterday with a starting QB's snap count). Can anybody name a single other coach in college football or the NFL that publicly supports the very idea of not having a starting Quarterback?

The New England Patriots constantly pull that Brady guy because #2 threw a few good passes in practice, don't they?

Development of the offense?? Why the hell does that matter now?

Jordan Mason is about the only one starting right now who will sniff the field next year. Maybe TO at a position other than QB.

Simple. Given the roster makeup, lack of talent on offense, and transition of the offensive scheme, this was going to be a bad year so logically you are developing for next year.

that's fine with some positions but literally no offensive scheme has ever produced worth a flying öööö by trotting out 2 QBs during the same series of plays. If you wanna switch 'em at halftime or for some Wildcat situational package, fine. But putting LJ out there to throw a ball into the stands on 1st down, TO running for 5 on a predictable Keeper on 2nd down and then have LJ try to force a pass into double-coverage on 3rd down, you end up with the öööö show we saw yesterday.

Stop the QB switching now. Only time LJ should ever see the field as QB should be an end-of-game/halftime Hail Mary play. He might be able to find a WR if we have 5 of 'em down there at the goal line.

At Temple, they have a QB is actually really good. Russo is a beast.

You're not "developing" anything if these players will not even be playing next year.
