It sucks that we lost to an FCS team that we have the talent to beat, but I don't think we need to fire the new coach or cancel the program just yet.
No, but could we at least get an acknowledgment from the coach that hot-swapping QB's is maybe an idea whose time has not yet come?

not unless Memphis State has to go back and forfeit their win against us in 1981.

We beat #2 Alabama to open, lost to what would be 1-10 Memphis St by 13 at home 2 weeks later, ended 1-10.
I was there, and it did indeed suck worse than this game. I actually cried as I left the stadium it was so bad. CSB.

I was also there for Furman 1983 and 1986. I knew guys on that Furman squad - that was a great team.

This is much worse. This loss is a failure of the coaching staff to prepare our team and to prepare a competent game plan.

Burdell, that Furman team was a good team I agree, but I also believe we should have won. I could be very wrong but I think they are preparing best they can with what they have. If we run it 70 times as suggested maybe we win, maybe we don’t.

This is a new system, new coach, new everything. IMO, our roster does not fit what this staff wants to accomplish. If it was me I would pick one qb and go with him. This back and forth series does not lend itself to success. I’m not saying we don’t have quality players because we do have a few, but we have VERY few. No, I’m not saying Citadel was better than us or have more talent, but what I am saying is we don’t have the talent, roster wide, to go out and easily win these type of games. I do think this staff can recruit and that will pay dividends in the future, but it’s going to take time. I think we can win 5 or 6 more this year, but we could also go winless.
Now, learn how to edit

Loses to an FCS team without their starting QB at home, whines about fan reaction.

Former player or not, wake the öööö up. Expect more.

Don’t start that haiku öööö like that Hive pussy board

The QB on that Furman team is a friend. He says the GT kicker committed to Furman then switched to GT I’m signing day.

Dave says hi, while he is laughing.

An overhaul of the offense is exactly what we went through in 2008. And we didn't lose to Citadel. In fact, we've never lost to Citadel before today. Nor has any other ACC team, ever.
We almost lost to Gardner Webb though. And we only put up 13 then. With 76 yards rushing in first half.

This was, almost by definition, the worst loss for Tech in a century.

But are you seriously comparing CPJ leading a team filled with a whole bunch of future NFL players, and even players who wouldn’t make it to the NFL being bad ass college players, to whatever we have now?

The egregious personal fouls and standing over players were as embarrassing as the loss. What kind of culture is this 404 thing that Collins keeps gargling about? ATL Thug U? Uh, no thanks, coach. We don't want to be Thug U.

Dude, we had 4 penalties total prior to this game and as bad as our offensive line has looked, we still don’t have a holding penalty

Using a 3rd string QB. But, they didn’t lose.

Sorry, no amount of excuses can cover up the complete failure of coaching yesterday.
As opposed to the no-string, empty cupboard 1*s we have on the roster. Sure I’ll grant you that
