Steve Hummer: The shine is off Geoff Collins

Hummer is the best writer they have left
And boy that’s a low bar
I miss Jack Wilkinson (who’s also a good dude)

But there wasn’t anything Hummer wrote that we weren’t saying after the game
 
Too soon. Collins task is huge: turning around an aircraft carrier. Turning the Yellow Jackets around will take some time, but he's clearly a good coach. Kirby Smart came close to losing to a FCS team in his second game. These things happen unfortunately.

I don't like Steve Hummer. But this article is spot on.

We don't know that yet. He has done a better job of CPJ's staff at getting recruits interested thus far. But the early results of gameday coaching leave a lot to be desired. Needs to sort out the offense QB shuffle and learn from his time management mistake. He's young, I'm hoping that he can.

Thats really our only hope at this point, hope like hell that he learns from this years mistakes.

What part of yesterday indicated he was good coach? What part of any of Geoff Collins career indicates has any idea how to build a program?

This is what scares me. A good coach wins yesterday. Collins looked like a ööööing dumbass by trotting out Lucas in overtime. Made no sense. Oliver is clearly the best QB on the team and I am sure he can throw the ball straight up in the air and hope for a catch like Lucas does.
