So the alternative is Elon and Towson have better players than Tech?
This crew got out coached - and we are about to face better, deeper staffs and better, deeper teams than the Military University of South Carolina

This new staff came in with a lot of subtle shots at the previous regime. Ok, fine. They’ve got 7 years to take us to 4 ACCGs and 3 Orange Bowls or the equivalence
But yesterday served as indicator that that ain’t hapnin
So after Kansas, you thought 2014 was going to happen

Let’s hope A) half of the Coastal put themselves on postseason bans so we can go to the ACCG or B) CGC stumble upon 8 NFL draft picks during the bye week

Ga Sou almost beat Minnesota yesterday. Did better than we did last year. Going back is not going forward.
If we played Minnesota during the regular season last year I think we would’ve won. The circumstances of the game were a perfect storm for malaise.

That bowl game was on the players. Your coaches last game and you do that. I’m also nervous about our current coaches but our players have to show some heart. The end to 2018 and the beginning of this year is on the players. I hope we become the definition of processing the next 3 off seasons.

yeah. because we always had one good brain fart game a year.
at least those came against teams with 85 scholarships and not against teams with 63 schollies whose players have to worry about showing up on time for drill and formation too.

Hell, I'd take Chan's offense at this point. That was a pro style offense. Some under center. Some shotgun. A big fullback. A stud tailback. Big, good TE's. Stud WR's. Hell, Chan's problem was, for some reason, he could not close the deal on a stud QB
"Some reason" = he chose to coach at Georgia Tech.

University of Florida can't even close the deal on a stud QB.

We should think about hiring someone who has a system that doesn't require a stud QB. Maybe one where we can just recruit athletes and plug them into that spot with system training.

I wonder where we'd find one of those.

UF can close on a good QB, it’s their coaching afterwards that fails time and again. FFS UCF has a kid now that’s better than MM10. I hate saying that but it’s true.

good idea - we were selling out the place and excitement was at all-time highs during the awesome 2017-18 seasons! Bring back the buzz! Bring back the 25-QB-Keeper-Offense! Bring back 6-7 wins and bowl losses!!! Let's continue getting mud-stomped by that football factory, Duke!

If you recruit and sign Calvin Johnson, you should be able to immediately sign a QB to throw it to him, unless you are a moron.

In fairness, the 25 QB keeper offense would have put 35 pts on the board and slowed the mighty Citadel to only scoring 17.

Maybe we should situationally apply the offense based on what is working.

This is bullshit. We don't need a stud qb. A simple ACC-caliber starting QB would be sufficient.

[stud qb]---------------------------[ACC-caliber starter]-------------------------------------[what we have]

no excuses for this loss and I agree our OC appears to be a moron but only a masochist would want to return to being annually ass-raped by Duke and getting curb stomped in a ööööty bowl.
