Loosing to West Point Jr. High wasn't bad.

I've seen some terrible games over my Tech fandom and this (outside of any Ugag loss) was really hard to take. Especially the stupid tech. fouls. Hope the coach "addresses" this issue FORCIBLY.

GT just lost to a team that couldn't handle Towson and Elon, all while taunting, dancing, and being a bunch of undisciplined embarrassments to the Institute.

Let that sink in. We danced and taunted a small military school most people have never heard of and ended up loosing.

With the conduct of our team, the atrocious coaching, and the loosing to an 0-2 FCS team running that high school offense...I just dont have it in me to continue my GT masochism.

Go Army!

I'll hang up and accept my ban.
The Vegas line in that game underscored a reality that much of our roster are players that were recruited by mostly by FCS schools. They are not P5 players.
We were only a 10 point favorite in that game. Statistically The Citadel had just over a 16% chance of winning. GT has won many football games as 10 point underdogs over the years.
It's not that much of a shocker folks. Move on.

Tori from the Athletic reported that the players didn't take this game seriously and were slacking off during practice all week. Hopefully, they learned a lesson.

Thacker said it was a bad week of practice and Collins alluded to it, too, in saying there were reasons for the loss that "will stay in the locker room". Curry confirmed it in his postgame comments. This is going to be a rough couple of weeks for these guys.

I thought we were 37 point favorites to beat Citadel?

That is bad. Very, very, extremely bad. Incredibly bad. No team shows up to lose to you.

Our team behaved quite a bit like previous Miami teams playing Paul Johnson option teams. Jumped around in circles on defense the first half, caught numerous personal fouls, then by the forth quarter were sucking wind watching another midline option plow right through 4-4 and 5-4 alignments. We basically directly emulated the very thing we used to laugh at.
This. It isn't even just that we lost. It's that we looked like an undisciplined team of idiots out there on defense, and were hamstrung on offense by incompetent playcalling. I can't imagine a worse display of coaching.

On which of the 4 times did he beat Miami did we laugh?

That’s a 36% win percentage for those of you keeping track at home.

Probably 2008 (when they were just completely lost on D) or, if I remember correctly, 2014 (when they stuck to a defensive alignment that resulted in their stud middle linebacker pretty much being a non-factor all game). Yeah, they beat us more often than not, doesn't mean we can't draw a parallel in those examples where they didn't with how we looked on Saturday. Plus the general thugishness and issues with penalties.

I think what he is referring to is how we laughed at Miami's thuggish behavior even while they were losing. If the behavior on the field & our sidelines continues as it did yesterday we will become the laughing stock of the ACC & a perennial whipping boy of the league. Win with class & lose with class but always give your best effort.

maybe the juice crew needed to start their work during practice last week.
but remember, how do you anything is how you do everything.

Was not pleased at all with the thugery I witnessed , is this the 404 culture ?

This just sounds like after the fact excuse making

Attacking my post count instead of the complaint brought fourth is fun. How many of you sat in the stands and watched Reggie Ball as a kid hoping he'd lead us to a MNC. Lol.

I've been around GT football a long time. CPJ haters love to bring up the loss to MTSU or Kansas At least they were an 8-4 team that year and kansas was a pitiful D1 team. We just lost a team that couldn't handle Towson and Elon.

We had some nasty losses and great nailbiters before, the only problem is I highly doubt this is the last utterly embarrassing loss of the year from the attitude and atmosphere of the team and coaching staff,
