Impact on Recruiting

This. If a team coached by Geoff Collins can only succeed because we have better athletes, we’re going to be straight dogshit for years. He ain’t out recruiting UGA or Clemson.

I don't know that losing to Clemson or UGA means we're "straight dogshit." Lots of teams lose to Clemson and UGA.

But we're definitely never, ever, ever going to beat either of those teams by having better players. Because we never, ever, ever will. Nor have we ever. Especially not in the current landscape.

It's almost as if we need an angry tactical genius with a chip on his shoulder to come to our school and pull something magical out of his ass two or three times every decade.

I wonder where we could find someone like that.

I gave you the benefit of the doubt. You posted more stupid öööö.
You can leave now. You won't be missed.
I'm glad you enjoy losing to the Citadel. We hired a loser, and we're going to be stuck with him for a while. I now know how your wife must be feel when she wakes up in the morning and looks at you.

Sidewalk fans are great. CPJ fans who want to tear it all down after he’s gone suck ass and we don’t need them.

I’m sure you know everything but you actually do need sidewalk fans. Did you see the attendance at the first two home games? Looks like a lot of the alumni aren’t drinking the juice. Look me up in Philly at the Temple game. I’m in section 135. Sidewalk fans, like myself, are important to the program even if they do not agree with your opinions.

I don't know who Tech needs, but I know it's someone who understands basic clock management and can beat an FCS team. I don't care what offense or defense they run. Relying on pure recruiting ain't gonna cut it. And Collins doesn't appear to have anything other than that.

I don't enjoy losing to the Citadel any more than I enjoyed losing to Middle Tennessee State and Minnesota. Why don't you go back and crawl under your rock? Come out and be a fairweather fan when things turn around again and you can pretend you were on board all along. Until then, STFU.

I think you misunderstood my post. I want sidewalk Tech fans. What I don’t want is a bunch of fans who show up and support a coach (over the school) and then want to tear up the school after the coach is gone. That’s like a bunch of locusts.

BS. The only person I've seen trying to lipstick on that pig has a personal grudge against PJ.

I've seen plenty of posts from known Scheme Firsters clearly reveling in the failure of CGC. Who absolutely deserves all the criticism for the Citadel that can be heaped upon him. But it's clear that the Scheme Firsters are ööööing loving this.

Good news - PJ quit and still ain't coming back!

So Paul Johnson couldn't have won without a QB that fit his system; except when he won without a QB that fit his system, ok got it. CPJ also won with a true freshmen QB that year, which also an option that CGC had since he had plenty of time to recruit one.

You dont think Nesbitt fit CPJs system? Lol. If you are talking specically about Gardner-Webb, you are splitting hairs. We scored 10 points.

And how on earth did CGC have plenty of time to recruit a QB that late in the game? He didn't even have a staff until the early signing period was over. He struck out on grad transfers because no one wanted to use their last year of eligibility behind this O line.

Saturday's performance may have earned healthy skepticism, but ya'll are being unreasonable with these takes.

I thought the stupidity was high on TOS, but per usual ST takes the cake.

Embarrassing loss and no excuse for it. We played counterintuitive to everything we preached

But we are really judging the staff off 3 games with QB who can’t throw and OLineman who can’t pass or even run block at moment. WE CURRENTLY HAVE AN NAIA OLineman PLAYING!!!! https://www.ajc.com/sports/college/...eam-possibly-starting/8SJazNA5DnqdaFoboP5jcL/

As for recruits, all they see is playing time and CGC/CBK history of sending guys to league

Georgia Tech needs to combine with Georgia State--- engineering at GT, management and business at Georgia State. We'd be a lot closer to Clemson and UGA in talent.

I’ve asked this question before, but to what do you attribute the loss to the Citadel?

I understand the cupboard may be bare in regards to P5 competition this season, but how do you explain losing to a team that we outmatch physically at every position?

The only reasons I can imagine are lack of effort, lack of preparation, and/or poor coaching.

What did you see in the game and what are your thoughts?

Soooooooo, you're suggesting this is all on Stansbury?

If losing to the better teams on our schedule is the litmus test, then we have been "straight dogshit" for most of the last forty years.:cooleek:

Oh that is simple. Arrogance by the players and coaches.
