Transfer QB - do we have some options?

I'm specifically thinking about Cade Fortin, who is from Gwinnett, and lost out at UNC. Apparently it's between us, Miami, and UGA? Anyone have insight on Cade or other potential transfers? It just seems to me that we'll be looking for more competition at QB, because, you know, it's king.

Why would he rethink that? Because they lost to Ga State?

The transfer portal has nobody who looks like a good match at Pro QB or any other position we need. I expect many more options over the next few weeks as players reach the four game red shirt threshold. I would not be surprised if we have some players enter the portal.

Don't want UNC castoffs. We put up 565 yards of offense on UNC last season with the QB we currently have on the roster.

Let's recruit better ones and actually utilize the talent of the ones we have.

More that he’s 2-9 against teams not named ETSU, UTC, UTEP, and Charlotte. Also losing to GA State in year 2 with the roster he inherited is a little different than what CGC is doing. Not to mention we’re the god damn home team.

But yeah no thanks to that uncheat castoff. We should be aiming higher in the portal.

Any bets if we put up 565 yards against them this year? I could probably create a line for that.

The problem in luring a transfer QB is a guy with limited eligibility is gonna take a look at our OL and run for the hills. A bargain basement guy for competition purposes who wants a GT degree, maybe, if we can find one.

As much as we like Gleason, I wouldn't mind adding another to the 2020 class. I don't think we are at a level that we can dream of landing a Harrison Bailey, but maybe we extend a last minute offer to a Griffin Brewster or someone like that.

No doubt. Gleason's high school is 0-3 and not scoring points. We need moar QB's. Tucker has 0 TD passes and 3 picks so far.

For the OL, my opinion is that would only last a year. The guys will be significantly better this year.
After learning how to adapt to play non-option ball myself... it’s tough but doable. FFS I didn’t even have spring football to work.
I just can’t imagine that the guys here currently have so little skill and ability that they are unable to do it. öööö, maybe they don’t.
