After we stopped them that kept their drives going. Yards after those penalties accounted for about 150 extra yards of offense.

That’s sucks a big one

Edited: so it’s only 3 penalties on third down but 5 total drive extending penalties.

Yeah some very untimely penalties. I thought the refs had a quick trigger with basically all the personal fouls, but once they make the first call for next to nothing you have to adjust.

I can find only 3 penalties on Tech after 3rd down stops, and even one of those was after a gain on third that probably gave the Citadel a first down.

On that drive, IIRC, there were 2 PF penalties that turned 3rd down stops into 1st and 10’s. I also think we had an offsides that turned a 3rd and 6 into a 3rd and 1, which they picked up on a QB keeper.

150 yards and I wonder how many minutes. We need all the possessions we can get.

I corrected it. 3 penalties on 3rd down but 5 drive extending penalties.

This will kill a team

and the number of TFL we have given up.

I think it was proven in the last regime (missed assignments ad nauseam) that GT OL are not capable if handling a more complicated scheme.

I hope Brent is cognizant of that.

We shouldn't be in a position where three penalties on 3rd down matter against a bad FCS team. We should be plowing our field with their f***ing faces old-school Nebraska style.

The unsportsmanlike penalties were the most embarrassing part of the game. Not only did it actually contribute to us losing, it made us look like a bunch of thugs. Why are we talking öööö to the Citadel at all, much less when they're beating us at home?

I would hope the coaches make it clear that that's not part of the Culture.

I thought Curry was gonna catch one in the 2nd half when he was posing over a guy, but then thought better of it. I honestly think the refs were whistle happy in favor of the underdog cadets, but there is no excuse after the first one. Looked like our guys had been mixing monster energy drinks with white claws pregame.
