We're the only ACC team to ever lose to Citadel

Don't forget the 2008 Peach Bowl, when we lost to LSU 38-3 after being 3.5 pt favorites on national TV... Or the 2007 Gator bowl where we blew an 18 pt lead... or really any bowl game outside of the Orange Bowl against MSt (Emerald Nut bowl against Fresno comes to mind too). Embarrassing loss, definitely in terms of against an opponent we should have beaten easily, but not really that "embarrassing" as far as damage to our reputation. We're picked last or next to last in the ACC by the media already, rebuilding year, noon game against an FCS school on a regional network not available on most cable platforms. Oh well, life goes on.

Holdup...of all the coaches, Key is the one I’m certain knows what he’s doing. Yet our OLine totally got their öööö pushed in today by the 0-2 Citadel D-Line. Makes me think that in fact there may be a major Jimmies and Joes problem.
The offensive line relies a lot more on training and live reps than any other position except quarterback. The NFL constantly complains about o-line prospects being woefully unprepared for the more exotic blitz and pressure schemes that are commonplace at the pro level. When the fledgling AAF started operations, they instituted a rule prohibiting defenses from rushing more than 5 at the quarterback because the offensive line players didn't have enough time to gel together.

Maybe to you it was, but "most embarrassing" doesn't fit for me. I was way more embarrassed by Kansas 2010 and MTSU in 2012.
That's ööööing stupid. One is a Power 5 school and other went to a BOWL GAME that season. We just lost to an FCS team that was winless against other FCS teams.

I was way more embarrassed by ugag in 2002.
I won't disagree with this one. The only GT game I remember turning off fairly early because it was too painful to watch. I at least made it through the Citadel game.

“That’s college football,” Swinney told 247Sports. “I mean heck, The Citadel was probably Alabama’s toughest game last year until Georgia. I mean I’m just telling the truth. The Citadel beat South Carolina somewhere here in the not-too-long-ago (past). That’s not a shocker. Georgia State went over and beat Tennessee. I mean that’s college football. Anything can happen, especially early, especially early in the season. Because nobody knows anything about anybody at this point.”

I’m also more embarrassed by both of those games.

Cool. I'm just telling you I was more embarrassed when we lost to a horrible Kansas team in a year when we were actually expected to be good and thus the loss resulted in a lot more negative attention than this one did. We started the year ranked, and with a Nesbitt for Heisman campaign, and promptly lost to a Kansas team coached by Turner Gill.

Then two years later we got the doors blown off of us by a team that had lost to McNeese State a few weeks earlier.

I didn't say those were WORSE losses. I said they were more embarrassing to me.

the 20-pt choked lead at home vs the mutts in 2013 is worse than this one.
Yeah... That was the worst Tech game I've ever been to. The 20-0 scoreboard is seared into my memory. Just like Oliver's game-winning TD run will be

Both losses are so bad it's hard to compare. Citadel feels worse to me. The coaching errors were just incredible

Careful with your end of line punctuation (or lack thereof). People might get you confused with WnE or NotTomNotPhil...hate for you to lose this alt too.

I'll hate the 2013 loss much longer than this stupid one.

Yeah, when it was 20-0 I looked at my wife and said if the Lord took me right now I would die a very happy man.

Instead he let me watch the comeback and OT loss.

The Lord moves in mysterious ways.

As does the Juice.
