No doubt. Gleason's high school is 0-3 and not scoring points. We need moar QB's. Tucker has 0 TD passes and 3 picks so far.
Just watch Gleason's junior year hudl highlights and you will feel good about this commit. I can tell you the schedule his HS has started with is brutal too so this is not your ordinary 0-3. They may even bounce back and still make the playoffs.

I'm not worried about Gleason per se; just think we'd be wise to sign another if we have the chance.
I'm thinking the best bet is hold that ship for a transfer. More maturity, more experience, a lot of good reasons for this direction.

I have been surprised by that. @JacketForLife , any insights on what's going on with Plant this year?
Not sure, haven't been able to catch a game yet. Rode my bike past the other night on my way to my parents and the score said 14-38. I've been meaning to go. The problem is the other schools have been running 3O schemes and I just can't even with high school offenses any more...kidding.

They lost to a traditional powerhouse team (Armwood) that lost to North Gwinnett in Double OT, Armwood is #8 in the state. From what I understand from a OC buddy in Gwinnett, North Gwinnett is a solid, solid team.
Lost to an undefeated school that's been doing really well past few years and is ranked 42 in the state.
Lost to a really good undefeated #23 ranked team with tons of D1 talent on the field. Threw three INTs, don't know all the details behind them.

I don't have HUDL so I can't review, but would love to!

We have a QB on our roster that rushed for over 100 yards and passed for over 100 yards against UNC last season. Why would we want one of their scrub QBs that couldn't beat out other scrubs on their 3-9 scrub team?

When people were talking about Hurts, Wimbush, and some other options during the summer, I was all about it. Those guys have starting experience in legit programs that could bring some stuff to the table.

Anyone know how the portal works? Used to be the coach has to approve of where the kid goes. So long as they enter, they can go wherever, correct?

Yeah, I don't think a coach can keep a kid out of the portal and most destination restrictions have been removed. I think there are still some slight differences conference to conference but from what I can tell, you don't see the punitive transfer restrictions there used to be.

The only fight is over immediate eligibility versus sitting out an year and the transfer from school does have a small influence.

Yes, it is out of the coach's hands. They can transfer wherever and it is up to the NCAA whether to grant a waiver to play immediately. Supposedly, conferences can still have stricter rules for transfers within conference, but no one really seems to be clear on that.

Appears there is hope for a True Frosh QB to get the job done right away:

Need to work on the O-Line to give any QB a chance... One problem with a grad transfer QB is that the really good ones aren't transferring because they are starting on their current team (with a few exceptions). I'm not seeing the Jalen Hurts of the world wanting to step into this mess until they see an O-Line that is a little more competent than what ours has demonstrated. I would very much be open to taking a couple of senior grad transfer OL into the Tech MBA program to help bridge the gap for the incoming freshman class.
