The return of Mark Richt

I agree. I think we're almost there too IWABH. It's fairly obvious we're missing something, though...LED LIGHTS.

First, and hear me out...we need to install golden LED LIGHTS in the ENTIRE stadium.

Before you call me crazy, let me finish. Consider the following:

  • We have problems wearing the right shade of gold, or even coordinating whiteouts
  • We have depth issues
  • We have to recruit BETTER
Now, imagine if we did something like this at the start of the 4th quarter. We turn all of the golden LED lights on at the same time. I know what you're thinking. WOAH. Are you still with me? Here's where the magic happens.
  • Suddenly, everyone is wearing the SAME shade of gold. What does this mean? Coordination problems are instantly solved
  • What does glowing gold remind you of? That's right, you guessed it.

    SUPER. SAIYANS.

You can kiss those depth problems goodbye. We don't even need depth because this is going to POWER our guys up. When that golden glow hits our home whites, it'll be like giving each of our guys a senzu bean. They'll be faster and stronger than EVER with ZERO fatigue.
  • I don't think I even need to explain the recruiting edge this would give us. Just hold some OV's for a night game against an overrated team early in the season and BOOM. They'll be committing on the spot.
I've already come up with a name for this - "Power Up BDS"

What do you guys think? I thought about everyone whipping out their cellphone lights too but I wanted to be original. NO ONE has used LED stadium lights before and we'd be the FIRST.
SunTrust field has led lights

Georgie being Georgie. They should run the ball as many times as a ca. 2015 Tech team. They'd go undefeated.
I expect them to run almost exclusively against us. Passing for öööös and giggles

GoldMember LED’s at Bobby Dodd Stadium. It’s what he would have wanted.

OK. BUT imagine if we didn't have a BYE this week and, hypothetically, had a primetime game against Notre Dame last night and did it! That would be CRAZY. I really think LED lights are the missing link.

/sarcasm

Dang, how can you hate football season? Even with our problems, the whole point of being a fan is that the springs of optimism never run dry.
I'm looking for a deeper well of optimism. I've been a Tech fan for going on 4 decades - like JT5, I've seen it all. I'll come around. Eventually.

Wouldn’t work all that well for our noon games.

That’s what I was thinking.

The uga lights are a waste of money. Sure, it looked cool. But even uga doesn’t get all night games. They get 1 to 3 per year. And the lights were only doing cool things for a grand total of 3-5 minutes. That’s a ton of money for 3-5 minutes 1-3 times per year.

Over time they will go a long way to pay for themselves in reduced energy use and maintenance.

No. These led lights were special effects and had no practical use in illuminating the field. Those would have a short payback. These were just decoration.

I think UGAG goes 12-0 then gets beaten by Alabama in the SECCG. I think UGAG will play Clemson in the Fiesta Bowl and will lose to Clemson.

Oh so it wasn’t the lights they use for the field? Those are LEDs as well since they were able to quickly turn them off and back on.

This was the flashing red light show during quarter breaks, etc.

By the way, our old Buzz buddy was there wearing red.

They were the same lights. They light the field with led arrays that can flash and pulse really quickly.

When they turned the field red, they only had a few lamps turned red and most of the light was from the ribbons.

The atmosphere at the stadium was unparalleled for a Saturday night game. Great atmosphere, great people. Very impressed with the direction of the program.

It must be nice to sellout a stadium.
I believe we would against ND.
