Does GT have a "puncher's chance" this weekend?

Outside of Saturday's booze cruise (which should remain my focus) and some baseball crap, there is obviously a very large sport event in the cesspool of the north this weekend.
I would very much like to not be inundated with articles and blogs and radio segment after radio segment degrading Tech football on Monday. Looking at the game logically, is there a way GT escapes with a W or even beats their ass?

Keys to victory:
1. No stupid penalties on defense.
2. Start 1 guy at QB and keep him there the whole game unless we miraculously get ahead by at least 3 TDs.
3. That 1 guy should be TO, though I have no idea of JG's injury.
4. In case you missed it, that guy should not be LJ.
5. Points are a premium for this offense. Unless he pulls a muscle in warmups, Wells should be the PK. Let King handle KOs and that's it.
6. More signs, more juice, more jumping.

They run an offense much more similar to what our coaching staff is used to (i.e. not the option) and similar to what we played well against with USF and, to an extent, Clemson (before their superior depth and athleticism overran us). So, I think we should be good on that side of the ball. I've got to think that boneheaded penalties will not be an issue after last week either. We also have the benefit of some of the coaching staff being very familiar with the skills/tendencies of the players we'll be playing against, so I would hope some of that could be used for some scheming (on both sides of the ball). Our offense is still very much a question mark (especially with how hush hush injuries are). But I think if we can be as stout on defense as we were against USF, we should be able to scrape together enough points to win the game.

Their QB threw 3 picks vs Buffalo and our coaching staff is very familiar with his tendencies. Should be able to draw up some effective stuff on defense and create some chaos. Find a way to score in the mid 20's and I like our chances.

GT has no chance unless they make significant changes on the offensive side of the ball. If they stick to the same plan we’ve seen so far we’ll see the same result, few points. They need to do what they are capable of doing right now. Run the ball!

I hope we have a decent GT contingent in Philly that will show up for this game. Should be cheap and I would imagine there is a decent number of alumni in the area seeing as its a metro location. Temple is notorious for bad attendance and they're only expecting somewhere around 20k for this game. If we have a decent following, our fans should easily be heard.

RUN THE BALL.
Forget even trying to pass until we recruit and OL that can pass-protect.

Can we afford missed P.A.T?

I suspect Wells is not right in some way, perhaps physically. I think we are going to have to resign ourselves to not winning with field goals for the time being.

I suppose GT has a puncher's chance. ESPN's 32% chance of victory is probably right.

Based on what I see:
-Must win on turnovers. Very possible considering our secondary and their passing game / Pressley Harvin's ability to force muffed punts.
-Must improve offensive performance. Optimistically, T Oliver had ~50% of the snaps vs Citadel (compared to 30% vs USF) I heard we have been working a lot of passing reps for T Oliver and that will mean more snaps. Pessimistically, James Graham may be back and we're back to splitting QB snaps 3 ways.
-Offensive line needs to play over their heads.

Temple will need to do what they did to Maryland in order to win. Maryland was 5/21 on 3rd downs, 1/6 on 4th downs, 16/39 passing, 3.5 yards per rush.
Tech will need to do what Buffalo did to Temple in order to win. Temple threw 3 picks and lost a fumble (-2 TO ratio with one pick-6) and went 2/16 on 3rd down, 4/8 on 4th down. A Russo's QB rating was 12. It was 38-10 in the 4th quarter.

This may be Pressley Harvin's game to win, so it will be tough to watch unless you like punting.

Temple vs Maryland and Buffalo went for a combined 5/30 on 3rd down. QBR's of 39 & 12.
Tech vs USF and the Citadel went for a combined 8/23.

Temple's punter had 10 punts in the last two games averaging 33 yards with no touchbacks and none inside the 20, long of 45.
Harvin had 10 punts in the last two games averaging 41 yards with 1 touchback and 6 inside the 20, long of 55. 2 muffs, 1 turnover.

I was excited to go to this game, then I watched us öööö the bed last weekend. Being in Philly is bad enough. Being in Philly so I can watch Tech play like ass is not something I'm interested in.
