good thing we got rid of the option

After what I watched today I'm frankly amazed with CPJ's playcalling given the rest of the variables

We should have never gotten the option. I’d have rather kept the Gailey equilibrium than deal with having to build a team out of the option. This isn’t all that much different from that SMU had to do coming out of the death penalty.

I dont think our rebuild is equivalent to the death penalty. Feels more like we hired bill lewis.

I could see an argument for not going the 3/o route, but I'm not convinced our highs would've been as good if we'd gone with someone else.

I understand what you're saying, but I liked beating ugag three times instead of losing every single time

Feels more like we don't have the right pieces in place for this staff yet. Honestly, Temple has been putting way more players in the NFL than we have in recent years, so I don't think it's a stretch at all to say that with this coaching staff, we would have a much better team this year with Temple's players.

I suspect that within a couple years we will something close to the players we want and will be able to effectively run a non-TO offense (Temple scored more points than we did last year). I also suspect that the level of talent we have in a few years will be head and shoulders above what we have now, so that even if Collins ends up not getting results in the long run, the next coach will have much more to work with than what CPJ left us with.

I think you can now see what a hell of a coach CPJ was. Recruiting issues aside, we had very similar players to this year’s team on multiple occasions and never, ever looked anywhere close to this bad or incompetent. We scored 2 points against a G5 opponent. 2.

Yes, I too never wanted us to ever beat UGA again.

Go back to drinking and stop posting this nonsense.
