Camp and Carter showed me somethings today. It’s Graham’s team the rest of the way. It will be interesting to see how he progresses throughout the remainder of the season.

Lineman and LB recruits I pray see this year as an opportunity for them to play immediately and turn our program around. We were pushed around today by an average at best team from the AAC.

Temple had more talent

USF I think had more, or at least equal talent.

No excuse for the Citadel disaster. But I will add that The Citadel is closer to us in total talent than we are to Clemson or uga.
Where does unc with a new coach rank in talent terms?

I’m glad CDP took the fans advice, played to our “strengths” lol. There was a reason TO was being shuttled in and out. Defense solid today, but must be great. Both TDs were dilute Campbell not staying outside.
We are talented but it is not in the right places. Defoors & Southers show why they had to move of from their previous programs and i thought Kenny Cooper was going to get TO killed.

give James the reigns and let him work
Campbell could have been in the locker room and not have been any farther away from where he should have been on those plays. That was awful.

We scored two ööööing points. How can you be excited about any QB we line up (not) under center

My game thoughts are this:

1.) It's really frustrating that the defense only allowed 17 points and forced a safety and yet the game still felt completely out of reach because of how inept the offense is. I'm not saying the defense was the '85 Bears, mind you. The lack of D-line depth showed up against the run as the game dragged on.

2.) Once Oliver got stapled to the bench after the second fumble and Graham got in the game for good, it was the first time that Tech actually looked like a real offense all season. You actually got a taste of the talent that the young wideouts have and that loosened up things a bit for the run game. I'm 100% all in on naming Graham the starter now, moving Oliver to the flex position and taking our lumps with Graham the rest of the way. Yes, his INT was pretty awful, but he's the one guy able to zip the ball around the park the way it needs to be thrown to make this offense go. Graham is the only one of the three QB's who actually has raw talent that scares the opposition to any degree.

I'm not sure we've reached the bottom until this is happening at the same time as Pastner enters ACC play. THAT will be the Bobinski ebb I think. Maybe. I hope. Maybe we can have a countdown to National Signing Day? 2/5/20.

Also I gave Patenaude a lot of **** all week ... but his QB rotations this game were sensible. I hope that is still the case when LJ returns.

Which players on temple are better, just use numbers, like, 76 was awesome, or 67 ate our lunch. They are much better than 93 or 55 that we have

I actually was impressed with our WRs, I think we have good RBs and I think Graham can be very good. However, our OL is the worst I have ever seen. We would be much better off if they would just dive at the Defensive linemen’s knees. At least we might take a few out of the game. I could see 5 true freshmen starting next year.

As for mental mistakes, that has been a recurring problem since the O’Leary/Fridgen days. I guess our players are book smart, but that does not seem to translate to football smart.

I’m going to guess that their last 3 recruiting classes ranked higher than ours and that they did a better job of recruiting to specific positions rather than getting a bunch of athletes.
Part of the problem was we did recruit to positions. The recruiting services don’t rank guys by how they fit systems. Take Cotrell, the guy is a 4 star Aback but a two star possession receiver.

*Why do we continue to make so many mental mistakes? Why do we try to run back kickoffs instead of take the freebee to the 25 yard line? Why can't we field a punt?
Because our coaching and preparation by the coaches is atrocious.

We would rather have players dance around, workout on the field before the game, and yell about juice than actually prepare for opponents or for football games.

The ööööshow on the field today was after 2 weeks of “preparation”. You’ve got to be kidding me with this crap.

We were about even with Temple on talent (which isn’t a complement)

JG is our best passer but needs to settle down. TO moves the ball better because he is a better scrabbler.

Mason is a good back. Did he get hurt? Is that when our O fell apart?

Graham is the first QB since JT that actually looks like a true dual threat IMO and with the change in scheme we must have that. He wasn’t perfect and he might not be the future as he still needs to develop, however as previously stated I do think it will be “interesting” to see his progression if given the opportunity full time. No doubt he has the physical ability to throw and run at this level. He needs real experience and I hope he gets it moving forward.
