Nobody wants to win more than CGC but he has so little to work with

He simply does not have the talent to do it yet. Or the players with enough experience to run the offense he envisions. We’re just going to have to wait until his recruits are older before we see anything close to success.

I said it 2 weeks ago and will say it again. Anyone that thought this season would go any differently was just completely fooling themselves. This is about what should have been expected in a complete overhaul of all aspects of our team. Maybe 2 wins by now, but I didn’t hang much hope on beating Temple. Wasn’t sure we would beat South Florida. Citadel yes, but not hugely surprising we lost.

I believe CGC is the right guy to lead us through this transition. It’s a large transition to undertake. His juice and positive energy will come in handy over the next couple of seasons...because there will definitely be some naysayers out there...

He’s gonna take a LOT of lumps and crap for the next 3 years. Give him time.

Yes. I'm sure CPJ recruited players that were just physically incapable of beating Citidel and Temple.

Yep. Is this really what anti-3O "fans" beleive? With the same talent and even worse at times we managed a dozen big upsets against better teams, and blew out the caliber of teams we're losing to.

This isn't as much johnny and Joe's as the "give him a chance, biggest rebuild since NCAA death penalties. Yea...right.

There is something serious going on with the staff and the locker room. Only a fool that's never actually played football at a HS and college level can pin this on players and arbitrary recruit classes.

So you would say Bobby Ross didn’t know what he was doing his first 2 years at GT? Should have been fired?

I can take losing. Expected it this year and next. Looking pathetic and inept doing it? Not acceptable.

I am seriously trying to see how CGC could do worse. I'd hope to see a little bit better team after the Citadel embarrassment. Nope. Not a shred. After an extra week to prepare we were worse this week than the last failed effort.

Collins has us going at full speed in reverse.

This board is gonna be at Cat 5 ööööstorm after the uga game.

CGC is Bobby Ross now?

So you are saying Bobby Ross should have been fired after 2 years was the only question. Which obviously you can't answer, or won’t.

I can’t see the future as you do. Must be a burden to have God like powers.

Hence a simple question was asked for us mortals.

And with your powers, how is this paid for?

Ah yes, we have players so bad we can't beat Citadel or score an offensive point against Temple. We went from a bowl team to total dogshit. I'm not blaming CGC though, I'm blaming that Patendouche.

Why? Why do you believe CGC is “the right guy to lead us”? What in his resume demonstrates that this guy has the tools to transition us from the 3O to a different system? I keep seeing these platitudes on here about CGC and his abilities, but I see NOTHING in his resume that gives me that level of confidence in his abilities.

How can it be more obvious that, contrary to what gibberish the past administration has tried to brainwash us with, that going to a bowl game is NOT some mark of excellence?

Teams with losing records go to bowl games.

We should not lose to (or even play temple in philly) the last 2 teams we have played. Nor should we lose to a vast majority of the ACC.

But you can not just expect to win when you do not recruit enough players at position groups to compete.

You may be correct. Many said the same about Bobby Ross, and yes, CCG. And many were cursing the darkness when we hired bill curry for ALL the wrong reasons. Many thought Bill Lewis was a good hire.

So, except for some here with God like powers to know the future, it is usually a crap shoot.

But it does not take a genius to realize when you won’t/ can’t/ didn’t recruit enough OL & DL to have a “balanced” roster that what is happening would happen when a coach left, retired, got fired or quit when he saw what he had built with the roster. And hiring a protege to run the same thing would have led to more recruiting difficulties, more reductions in ticket sales and donations.

But specifically, I know of NOT ONE coach today that is qualified to transition us from a program killing ego driven O to one that will help us with the recruiting paradigm we had. Which is contributing to many of our line of scrimmage problems we have.

And no one I know could make this magic happen in 10 months and 4 games.

NOBODY said that about Bobby Ross---he was a proven coach before he got here. He is also the guy that said very publicly, we have to give CGC time. OTOH, the fact that CGC is having a lot to go through that requires time, does not mean he is the right guy with the right stuff. Only time will tell. The style shown so far is encouraging, but it doesn't tell us much about substance. Neither does his HC resume.
Ross coming here meant that, well we now can remove "coaching" from the equation, let's see if Tech can do it. We did.
Your point about our LOS woes is pretty much right due to the TO, but we have never had LOS depth since Dodd left, especially on the DL.

Because, as a group, we want to believe in Todd Stansbury. If our confidence in the AD is shaken, then what?
