Look at who's starting on OL. Look at each dudes recruiting history and you'll know all yiu need to know

Until yesterday, it’s been over 20 years since Tech’s offense failed to score a point. And that last time was against freakin FSU.

Quit blaming the players for that ööööty fact.

Well that adds up with the fact that this is the least talented team Ive seen in 20 years

I'll say the defense isn't bad. The secondary has the best talent we've had there in a long time. The DL isn't great and LBs are okay. Overall, the defense hasn't been the issue. The offense on the other hand...

The OL was thin going into the year and we've had injuries. You aren't going to win with a bunch of walk ons in the 2 deep. The roster needs to be rebalanced. It will take time. Again, there is a reason why every publication I saw had us in the 80-100th ranked team going into the year.

I say we play Graham the rest of the year and find a role for Oliver to get on the field. Is Graham the QB of the future? I'd rather find out now than to have the same question next year.

I’m glad CDP took the fans advice, played to our “strengths” lol. There was a reason TO was being shuttled in and out. Defense solid today, but must be great. Both TDs were dilute Campbell not staying outside.
We are talented but it is not in the right places. Defoors & Southers show why they had to move of from their previous programs and i thought Kenny Cooper was going to get TO killed.

give James the reigns and let him work
I understand the need to play a lot of people but it does hurt to see people out there that shouldn't be and they cost TD's. To play a lot of people just to play "a lot of people" I struggle with that concept. You need to have your best on the field and I thought we had plenty of safeties.

You know it all. ..whats the solution? We should listen to you because you know everything 4 games in. Who were you saying we should hire 9 months ago?

Stop bitching like you've been doing non-stop since the game and tell us the exact solution.

Whatever helps you sleep at night. I’m sure no other coach out there could’ve found a way to beat the Citadel with this roster/OL. Or put up an offensive point vs Temple. :dunno:
Why not post your coaching resume on here and we can take it to TStan? You could obviously fix all of the issues and stop us from fumbling into the endzone, giving up a fumble that literally directly gave them 7 points and throwing a pick on first down into the endzone on first down. I mean...I'm sure SOMEONE could look at that and go, "Oh yeah...that's bad coaching". But it would take that someone being a complete and utter dumbass to do so.

Hell, if we swap that 21 point swing, it's a ballgame and we probably kick the field goal instead of going for it on 4th and 2 inside the 5. And if I'm doing the math correctly, we win the game!

Awesome, now we have a plan. When are you going to post that resume so we can get the wins rolling in?

*Temple is better (has better players) than we are.
*Our Oline is really bad. #70 should be sent back from whence he came
*James Graham is our best QB and should get most of the snaps from now on. Tobias should be moved to Plan B.
*Our receivers are scart. We juggle balls and dive for passes they should catch in stride.
*Why do we continue to make so many mental mistakes? Why do we try to run back kickoffs instead of take the freebee to the 25 yard line? Why can't we field a punt?
*Jamious Griffin needs to play a lot more at RB. Jordan does not cut back against the grain when he needs to. He is a tough inside runner, a natural BB, but is not fast enough to run laterally.
*Its gonna be a long year. We need to play more of the younger players to get them game experience.
While we are not accomplishing anything, I am concerned that there is no evidence of what we might be trying to accomplish--on offense or defense. What is the goal we are trying to achieve? We show no "identity". Very little leadership from players or coaches. I've read that our practices are dynamic, innovative, fast moving, cutting edge. In four games, three against poor opponents, with a bye week, we seem to be regressing--at an alarming rate. There is no evidence on the field that our players are receiving anything close to adequate instruction .

I actually was impressed with our WRs, I think we have good RBs and I think Graham can be very good. However, our OL is the worst I have ever seen. We would be much better off if they would just dive at the Defensive linemen’s knees. At least we might take a few out of the game. I could see 5 true freshmen starting next year.

As for mental mistakes, that has been a recurring problem since the O’Leary/Fridgen days. I guess our players are book smart, but that does not seem to translate to football smart.
Think of having to teach Sheldon Cooper the zone blitz.

Won't argue about the offense - it's looked like garbage and CDP hasn't impressed me yet.

I would argue that the D already looks better and more sound than anything we've trotted out there in a log time. They were again on the field for way too long, and despite 3 turnovers we still only allowed 17 points - hell, I think we outgained Temple for the game.

Regardless, it's 4 games in and you have no idea if "Collins is not ready for this level and TStan öööö the bed on this hire" Nobody knows that at this point. And I'm not trying to argue that "I'm sure he's the right guy"......I'm saying have a little goddamn patience.
Dave Patenaude is the Nate Woody of offense.

For those twenty years Gailey or Johnson, both offensive coaches, was the head coach. Before that, Friedgen or O'Brien were the OC. Not sure what we have right now.

We all thought a lot of things heading into this season.

Temple’s recruiting classes for the last 3 years are 105, 82 and 119 on 247. Tech is 51, 44, 48. I’m sorry but I’m not buying into the Temple had better talent story. You don’t need a top 25 class to score more than 2 points against Temple.
the problem is that a lot of our recruits in those numbers are no longer there: Mills, Benson, Braun for starters. How many of the recruits in each of our last 3 classes are still on the team?

Kinda hard to blame the coach for TO's goalline fumble...

TO had two bad fumbles. It happens. Unfortunately, we gave up on him after fumble number 2. He was actually moving the ball in the first half. The JG offense was much more erratic moving the ball and gave the defense much less rest.

Ifs, ands, or buts don’t win football games but coaches that get paid millions of dollars to win football games should be held accountable. Apparently, you think it’s acceptable and actually expected for us to lose to the Citadel and not score on Temple (we had 8 other possessions that didn’t end in a turnover). We’re not coming off a rape scandal where the entire roster is turned over. We have a weak OL, I get it, but we should absolutely still beat the Citadel and not be shutout by Temple. That is on the coaching staff.

We have an unoriginal OC. He just isn’t good.

I am disappointed in the defensive side of our ST play. We are doing pretty well on returns.

Our D looks good. But we are going to have a lot of teams with power running teams. We just don’t have the beef up front.

Our HC isn’t a great tactician. He is a very good recruiter.

Other than the poor ST play, I would say everything is about where preseason expectations would have placed us.

We should have expected to be 2-2 at this point in the season. Not settling on a QB in the summer is killing us.

It was so easy to see they had an OL that we would love to have: night and day; and I expect in 2-3 years we will be better than them at Tech.

Same with their LBs.

Of course we would love their QB. We would probably love to have their backup QB and I have no idea who that is.

How can I blame the coaches for TO’s fumble at the one inch line.. that would’ve given us a score and he’s a player is he not?

Who did I want? Someone who could recruit their nuts off. So, I got my wish I guess.

Where do I think we should go from here? Do what the coaches preach in public. Do what the guys know and can do successfully. We moved the ball the most consistently and reliably throughout the day running man 2 man blocking and heavy option concepts with PA off of those. Pretty sure it was the 2nd or 3rd series of the game when that started. TO looked at least serviceable in the pass game under those concepts. When we went zone and straight drop back with him, a total laughingstock cluster öööö. TO will never be able to stand on the pocket and read a defense or throw timing routes.

We run heavy spread formations but with the way teams play us we force our 5 to block their 6 or 7. That’s maddeningly stupid given our talent level to begin with at OL. Stop doing that öööö.

LJ and TO should be done at QB for their careers. They’re not part of the future and every rep in practice they take from JG was and will continue to be thievery. TO needs to be involved with some freshman Tebow like packages or outright converted to WR. He continues to need the ball in his hands in some capacity.

How can I blame the coaches for TO’s fumble at the one inch line.. that would’ve given us a score and he’s a player is he not?

Players make mistakes. Unquestionably.

But coaches lead and coach players into a NCAA worst 13 points per game over the first quarter of the season. That’s 100% on the current coaches. I find it pretty lazy analysis to just point at the previous guy along with the mere hope for the future. The state of our offense is ööööing embarrassing even with the state of talent that was left. I’m still onboard the CGC juice train, but the management and coaching of the O should be absolutely terrifying to everyone regardless how one felt about the previous staff.

To CGC’s credit, the D looks tons better, even with a similar level of horrible and devastating depth and talent at key positions (DL/LB). So, if the D can be improved and made to look promising with öööö parts, there’s no reason the O should be in the state that it’s in through 4 games.

There’s a titanic gulf between those two facts.
