I’d like to see what CPJ did in 08’ with no JFN, the diesel, a 1st round WR, 3 future nfl d-lineman.. 3rd round safety. 2 future NFL o-lineman..

Now if our roster looked like 08’ and CGC came in and is 1-3 with loss to citadel, yeah I’d be butthurted

And btw even with that 08’ roster we put 10 points on Gardner-Webb and escaped with our lives

He's not wrong. His recruits beat CPJ's recruits..
Eh. CGC really didn't have time to get anything going up there, recruiting-wise. I do think he deserves a lot of credit for the development of Temple's players, as they've been getting lower rated recruits to the NFL certainly better than we have lately.

They are the right fit for his offense though. And If venture to say his OL was better than ours by a long shot.
Ok. Let me put it to you this way. They have an entirely new staff. They have their own coaches. Just like it’s idiotic to give CPJ credit for the USF win this year, it’s idiotic for this man who just lost without scoring a field goal or touchdown to claim credit for the team that beat him, most of which were also Rhule’s recruits. Does that make better sense?

We also had no OLinemen on that team. We started 2 walk-ons and a converted TE, if I'm not mistaken. One of those walk-ons won All-ACC. Thanks Sean.

Andrew Gardner was 6th round draft pick and Cord Howard was undrafted free agent pick up the next year.

And yes, a walk-on turned into all ACC and the group was mostly upperclassmen. Not comparable at all to present day

No. Collins got beat. Collins got beat because he has no semblance of a game plan.
We came out and tried to establish a power running game with TO. We got some players open but we couldn't make the plays necessary (remember the 4th down pass to a wide-open RB?) This gameplan led to a 15 play 80 yd drive that ended with a player fumbling at the 1 ft line. We stuck with this game plan even after falling behind until this QB again fumbled the ball away during the middle of what was looking like a methodical drive. This game plan wasn't sexy or pretty, but it was pretty apparent what he was trying to do.

After the multiple turnovers, they put in a new QB with a different skill set. They changed the game plan and started to throw the ball around a little more since that is that player's strength.

Did the defense not play well? Was there no gameplan there? They started to lean on us down the stretch with a big OL, but other than that the D came to play.

Nobody liked the results, but it is downright retarded to say there was no game plan. Don't be a retard.

How many years has it been since we scored ZERO on offense again?

Well, there's at least 1 person at GT who was pleased with the results.

Hence the point of this thread...

Come on, that quote is ballz deep ööööing stupid to make.
Not arguing with that. I am saying that the "there was no gameplan" comments are retarded. It was apparent what we were trying to do. We just couldn't execute on it. An OL that struggles to block and QBs that struggle with arm strength and/or accuracy is not a great combination to an efficient offense.

I absolutely love that we're blaming players now because the coaches can't call a decent game.

In fairness, he deserves a lot of credit for Temple beating Georgia Tech one way or another...
