Coach Collins takes credit for Temple beating us

Ok. Let me put it to you this way. They have an entirely new staff. They have their own coaches. Just like it’s idiotic to give CPJ credit for the USF win this year, it’s idiotic for this man who just lost without scoring a field goal or touchdown to claim credit for the team that beat him, most of which were also Rhule’s recruits. Does that make better sense?
What our coach is saying is not capable of being understood by "fans" who are relying on their reading comprehension education fromm GT.

CGC is a great recruiter. I'm a little concerned about how good of a coach he will be though. No one is claiming that our talent level is high. The problem is we are underachieving with what we have.
Would love to have your in depth analysis of our OL. Each player individually.

I’d like to see what CPJ did in 08’ with no JFN, the diesel, a 1st round WR, 3 future nfl d-lineman.. 3rd round safety. 2 future NFL o-lineman..

Now if our roster looked like 08’ and CGC came in and is 1-3 with loss to citadel, yeah I’d be butthurted

And btw even with that 08’ roster we put 10 points on Gardner-Webb and escaped with our lives
Re: Gardner-Webb
At the time we played them they had the # 3 ranked rush defense in Div. 1-AA ( now called FCS) that was giving up 45.6 yards per game. They were expected to play our new run heavy offense tough if you go back and read any articles leading up to the game. And we were playing our 3rd string QB Calvin Booker due to injuries to Nesbitt and Shaw. Booker was a Senior who was behind a Sophomore (Nesbitt) and True Freshman (Shaw) on the depth chart. He was not at all suited for running that offense.

I hope this lends a little perspective regarding that game, and hope that I will never have to read again how we only put up 10 points vs. The Running Bulldogs of Gardner-Webb.

Everyone remembers the Gardner-Webb scare and the loss and tie to Furman during the Curry years. But I remember Scott Sisson kicking a last minute field goal in 1991 to defeat Furman 19-17. Had we not recovered a late fumble on their end of the field, we would have lost that day....just a year after our NC.

I can understand exactly what he’s trying to say. Are you sure you have a degree “fromm” GT?

Collins got Ruhle's players at Temple. Johnson got Gailey's players, then Collins got Johnson's players. Who got the best deal?
You do realize the players CGC inherited from CPJ, has absolutely nothing to do with CGC keeping the wheels on at Temple (the wheels were clearly firmly in place).

With Bobby Ross coaching a stacked team. Al Ciraldo used the term juggernaut to describe the talent on that team.

CGC's players are producing better results under a new head coach. CGC coached a previous coach's players to worse results as the head coach. CGC's getting worse results with the previous coach's players. This isn't rocket surgery.

Off the field titan. On the field still learning.

Well Collins is 0-1 against FCS teams at Georgia Tech, so there's that.
And you, of course, are thrilled when GT loses. Except when cpj was the coach, and then our rushing yards were all that mattered.
