That was the same year Robbie Godhigh got body slammed against UGA.

Yeah, the 2012 GT season was not fun. The UNC game was the pinnacle of an otherwise very bad year.
 
Was that the year their defensive coordinator got caught on TV slumped over and completely defeated?

Also beat a Kiffin coached USC in the Sun Bowl. So that was fun. But overall, yeah, pretty meh. I think this was at the height of the “record against the big 4” era.

We went 5-3 in conference, 2 of the 3 losses were in overtime, and we played FSU within 1 score in the ACCCG on our way to crushing Southern Cal in the Sun Bowl.

If that's a very bad year because of a single UGA tackle, you better pucker up the next couple of years.

we got demolished that uga game offense looking pretty bad, it's more than just the body slam

edit: just looked up that game, we lost 42-10, but apparently we had more yards and first downs than uga, stats is funny!

We went 7-7. At best, it was a meh year. Our conference record was decent but we got destroyed by byu and lost to mtsu. We also backed in to the acccg. If we have a couple breaks and win OT games, were just 8-4 on the season, maybe 9-3 if we beat mtsu. That would have been a good season, but we didn't win those games; so it was a bad season.

The only thing memorable about 2012 was the embarrassing home blowout debacle vs MTSU, one of the only times PJ's team quit on him (most of the 2nd half).
No one really thinks "ACC-CG berth!" because we only got it due to cheating by UNC and Miami.
2012 and its 7 wins was a pretty typical PJ season. We didn't have a single victory over a ranked team but put up some good rushing stats.
 
The MTSU game ... the swan song, or swan poem, for one Al Groh

Georgia was loaded that year. That team and the one from two years ago were two of their best in a long time

FSU was loaded too and we still almost pulled that one out in the ACC CG

I re watched that Sun Bowl a few weeks ago.
