I think we show up but...

I just reviewed Duke's stats - not all of them just enough to get a sense of how good they are. Their defense is going to be a problem.

We're not going to win, but I do think we're going to be more competitive than we have been. I'm really just looking for 2 things this week:

1) Establishing the run game
2) Rushing the passer

Shut down Pnope’s offense and cut up Thacker’s defense in the bowl game last season. Ded.

Just score some points and beat the spread. At this point, I'm not greedy.
Man, it has come to this against Duke. During the GOL days, it'd be "just beat the öööö out of Duke"

You are a sad sad man, and you have my pity.
We'll talk Saturday night. I'm not sad, and I will be elated if we win. But one of the great joys of my life, Georgia Tech football, is in shambles. Beyond repair, I think.

I was quoting toy story. It was a poor attempt at a funny. I don’t doubt your sincerity and really do appreciate your perspective. I disagree about it being beyond repair and I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised in the upcoming years. I sort of agreed with you about it the first few games but I’ve seen real flashes that to me are evidence of good coaching. We will get there.

Think about this: Frank Beamer followed a coach that had 6 consecutive winning seasons at VPI. He proceeded to win no more than 3 games the next two seasons and no more than 6 games for 6 consecutive seasons. After that VPI went on a tear like they had never seen. I’m not saying it will be easy, but it might be worth it.

The days of giving a coach, no matter the kind of change being undertaken, that much time are long gone. If we're still .500 past the midpoint of CGC's seven-year deal, he won't be around to see the end of it.
