I almost wonder if Cottrell doesn’t find a home in the NFL as a special teams specialist / emergency back.

I think he gets invited to a camp and gets a shot. Not 100% sure he will make it.

He has improved his size and strength tremendously. He plays 110% ATL every play. He will at least get an invite tryout

Cottrell has elite straightline speed, if someone can teach him how to breakdown and make a tackle he would have no problem making an NFL roster as a special teams guy. He's always the first guy downfield and right on top of the returner, he just tends to fly past the returner if they make any kind of move. Kind of the same problem he had as an a-back, being fast in a straight line but not being able to cut it back when needed.

Wasn't he some kind of track star in HS? I seem to recall he was a 100 meter something or other in TN.
