Borderline take IMO right now just based off the junior film. Probably wasn’t early on, but we could be getting kind of desperate for big DLs soon.

We have 10 DE's on the roster and 4 DE commits, and none of them are seniors. I don't see desperation.

Meh...I trust the coaches to make that call. Some of the bigger DEs committed or on our current roster could grow into interior players. With where our current class and scholly count stands there is no reason for us to be desperate. Unless we lose some guys, everyone from here on out will for sure be someone the coaches really want.

Maybe not desperate, but we clearly want another one because we are both putting out new offers and circling back around to guys we looked at early in the cycle.

We’re starting 215 pound DEs and only have a couple DTs that are ACC caliber right now. We’ve been desperate for big DLs for over a decade.

Regardless I was more talking about this class than the roster. Wiggles might end up growing to a DT but we’ve still been looking for 2 more for awhile now. It’s the only glaring weakness of the 2020 class. If we miss on Jones and/or Perry we’ll be getting pretty desperate. Which is what i said.

Akelo Stone may grow into one, as well. But I agree we need more in this class.
 
We signed Lockhart, Douse and Camp last year who should all be interior guys. Jahaziel Lee potentially comes back to play full time on the D-Line. There is always the possibility of a transfer. I agree that I want Jones and/or Perry (or some mystery player)...but I'm not ready to call the situation desperate. We aren't desperate for numbers anyway...just have a need to continue improve the talent level across the DL.
