15 Years Ago today

I was there. We all just kind of looked at each other for a second. You knew it was an epic catch but no idea we'd still be talking about it 15 years from now.
 
15 years ago if we had a great QB...we wouldn't have known how great CJ actually was.

I remember the tv announcers were incredulous on that play.
 
I used to go to practice pretty often back in 2004-2005; my office was at Tech Square. I'll never forget standing on the sideline watching WR drills and Calvin made this twisting, reach-behind catch of a ball that was thrown behind him on the sideline. Grabbed it with one hand while falling out of bounds right in front of me. I was just standing there with my jaw on the ground. He truly was amazing.

My other favorite moment of his was when he caught that touchdown pass against Clemson after they muffed the punt with 10 seconds left. He makes the catch and then he was running around like a true 18-year-old - running into people, sprinting to the sideline, just going crazy. I watched that game in my living room and hit my head on the ceiling fan when he made that catch.

Too bad NC State ain't on the schedule every year anymore, Tech used to beat 'em like a drum from 1983 to 2003. I remember one year the banner the players ran through entering the field said: "Hey NC State, who's your Daddy?"
 
Wow, 15 years. I was sitting end the end zone and had a really good look right down the field at that catch.

The 05? Miami game was on TV last night. He had three or more highlight film catches in the first half.
 
Saw him at the first week of practice @ GT. Ray Charles obvious even then he was the best player on the field.

Hope to see such a talent like that again in a GT uniform.
 
I’m a UGA fan and I used to tune in just to watch him play. I’m 49 yrs old and he may be the best I’ve seen in my lifetime.
