No, the story during the offseason when everyone was excited about Geoff's recruiting was that Paul was told to leave. Now that things suck, it's that Paul quit.
The only people that thought Paul was told to leave were the ones butthurt about all the excitement and momentum so shortly after he quit. They were simply bewildered. I imagine in their deranged delusions Paul deserved some sort of mourning period, or maybe the dying program did. Unfortunately for them it didn't turn out that way and they took it personally as a cross to bear for their religious Crusade

I can guarantee that in year 8 Collins will win more than 3 games. I loved Johnson but I also understand reality. His recruiting got worse and when we had injuries we won 3 games in his 8th year. And I’m still at a loss as to why he couldn’t get a true dual threat QB to come play for him. Thomas showed what could be done with his system but once he graduated we were toast. Collins will get us the depth we need and we’ll finally get real QB’s at GT. Gleason is just the first.

We tried a long onside kick which we likely would have recovered had it not gone out of bounds. I thought it was a good idea and it almost worked out.
I thought the same thing when I saw it, but I'm curious if you have any 'official' confirmation that this was the plan?

Nothing official but I asked a friend about it who is pretty close to the program and he said it wasn't intentional...it was a mis-kick. Wells was trying to kick it deep enough for a touchback and just hit the side of the ball.

On tonight’s episode of “Nailed It”, we’ll have people try to kick the ball really far!

Is there anything to suggest that CGC has a pact of cooperation from the Hill to bolster his recruiting efforts? Or is our strategy geared to finding and signing four star Nation Merit Scholars?

My impression is he'll get the same cooperation Johnson got, which is a bit more leeway as long as grad rate stays up, with the goal being Collins will be more convincing. Could be wrong tho.

I just hope we don't get shutout at home this season, that's all....

Is there anything to suggest that The Hill was never cooperating?

Seems to me that CGC's strategy is to stay super on top of the players and make sure the work gets done.
