Pregame melee at midfield - this could be interesting

It is hard to see how the ACC is a power five conf in football. At present, it has exactly one good football team. All the rest are mediocre to terrible. Plus, there is no football atmosphere at most of the ACC stadiums. The game tonight was a great commercial for all teams recruiting against ACC teams.

The ACC was actually better in everything when we joined in 1980. Everybody played everybody in every major sport, all games were within driving distance, etc. As long as the ACC keeps coming across as weak teams with weak support on national TV games, it’s going to keep being considered a joke.

It must be tempting for ND to join the ACC Coastal. They would be in the ACC CG every year, playing Clemson for a spot in the playoffs. When you look at how weak the ACC is, it’s even more depressing we’re 13 out of 14 in spending on athletics.

Does n.d. have a choice in which division to “join”? ( sorry, that is stupid of me. The lil girl would let them do whatever they want)

I have always hated to see college teams play their home games in a pro stadium. Just does not cut it.

And I just saw that n.d. sellout streak at home (since 1973 or 1974) will end this week vs Navy. My my.

Nope.

FSU will be back. And they will be top 10 every year under better leadership.

Miami will be back too. They've just made a series of terrible coaching hires.

Regarding ND, they will HAVE to join the ACC and win a conference championship in order to be considered for the CFB playoffs. Their stock has taken a beating over the past decade.

At this point, Miami has been Not Back longer than they were ever Back. If Notre Dame is coasting on past glory (they are), then Miami is doing the same thing without nearly as much history.

Miami has the players. If Paul Johnson had that, he’d win a NC or two.

I can easily see downsizing in many stadiums across the country, someone who follows CFB closely told me that AL was cutting down the size of Tuscaloosa stadium, don't know if that is true or not, UNC I believe cut theirs down from 63 to 51,000. Too much TV.

Hasn’t this been the story for the last 10 years?

UNC had a lot of close calls this season... if they can get over the hump they will be the team to beat in the Coastal. If they can’t, well, it will be Mack Brown’s swan song.
