Rate Geoff Collins First Season

Like flywheel said - we open the game with a delay of game. I don't want to go on a rant so I won't but dear god, what have we done?

C for the season and a B+ for recruiting. We had less talent than everyone we played except Citadel. We have less DL and OL talent than any other P5 team. We do not have a QB for the future yet. None of that is Collins fault.

A in recruiting. D on the field (avoids an F because of scheme change and decimated lines).
his grades at mid term for recruiting are good.
but there is still the final. and who knows if he will the shaft or not

"A" for recruiting? He hasn't signed anyone yet this year so you must be basing that on what he brought in last year. The prize of that class was a RB that is currently 3rd string. How does he get an A for that?

Don't be obtuse. Currently the best class we've had since the last time Collins was here. Unless verbal commits start dropping like flies, it will remain so.

Since the Temple game, we had been making some progressions from week to week -particularly on offense.

The first 25 minutes of the game were a blur (I left before half -earliest I have ever left a GT game). Idk wtf happened this afternoon. I could see that the VPI OL was handling our DL, and our LB corps were invisible.

Offensively, it seemed like most of the plays were on the other side of the field from my seats, so I couldn’t really see what our issues were. Needless to say, after the Pitt and UVA games, both which were winnable, today’s debacle wasn’t expected, and tough to figure out. Disappointing for sure.

No way to spin it, it’s an F. I expected 5-6 wins, but I feared it could be worse.

Was watching with my wife and 91 year old MIL, flipping between our game and the Ga game. Mid-2nd quarter my MIL says “Them Georgie boys look a lot bigger than the Ga Tech boys”.

She’s right, I just wouldn’t expect a 91 year old woman to notice that on TV.

Not being obtuse. We simply haven't signed anyone this year yet and with today's disaster, could realistically see us losing some commits. Give him a "I" for recruiting but so far, he has accomplished nothing.

Today’s students are lame. In my day, we tore down the goal posts for an away game and a Braves win and burned it in the intersection across from the Edge center.
Um - we won that game. I don’t condone students throwing in the towel, I mean cash, but your comparison is unfair.

CGC definitely needs to answer for why he allowed us to lose about 5 starters for the year on the OL & DL to injury.

Very poor coaching.

The amount of talent needed for Collins to be anywhere close to successful would be historic at Tech.

He needs more talent, but more importantly, he needs his players. He did alright at Temple with Rhule's players, but they weren't transitioning out of the TO. We're all disappointed, and games like today offer no positives to take away, but he hasn't coached anywhere close to enough games at Tech for your statement to be supportable.

I can't fathom giving him anything less than an F at this point. And not like a 59. Like a 12.

We might be the worst team in P5. I don't give a öööö about the talent excuses. We just lost FORTY FIVE TO ZERO. First shutout since 1997.

This is just humiliating.
