We can be a good program if Collins continues to recruit well and can surround himself with above average coordinators and assistants; much like the Dabo model, not like the Saban model.

Same reasons people are giving him an F for on-field performance. It's our best recruiting class in 13 years.

In his defense, he didn’t recruit too many of the players on Temple that beat us. Matt Rhule’s kids beat us.

When people make the argument that "recruiting is a multi year process" they are unwittingly saying that Collins was not responsible for our 2007 recruiting class; because he was only here 1 year before that class signed.
 
Jesus Christ, who did yall expect to get who could do better? Today was awful, but really did you guys really think there wasn't a chance we would be bad?

I think we went three games that season without forcing a punt. The DC deserved the hook.

Two games this year without scoring is awful.
 
He looks much like Bill Lewis to me... However if we beat Georgia all is forgiven!

He gets credit for keeping the class together that others assembled. Basically closing the deal.

But we have been pursuing option players. We’ve only been after pass first spread players for a year. We got some like Brown last year. We should do better this year. But we better be better at recruiting 2 years from now than we are currently.

I will also say this, regardless of Gailey’s lack luster recruiting overall, the man was a closer. If we could get guys on campus, we could sign them. Johnson never had that knack. We got some we lost some. Hopefully, Collins is a closer.
