I try to practice these, honest...but when in the first five minutes your mascot trips the flag bearer, gets injured and lays the flag on the ground for trampling during run-out and then you take a delay penalty on your first snap.....holy phuck it's difficult. but then you realize midway in the second period that you'd take a delay penalty over actually snapping the ball, well then maybe a delay isn't that bad after all?

in all seriousness though, we made our bed and have to let it play out for a couple of years. An old ex-college coach of mine told me this last week, which made me go hmmmm?

He stated that year two and three are much less stressful if you can lay down a one or two win season in year one. Scrambling for five wins in year one and then duplicating it in year two is not a recipe for booster happiness. But take a 2-10 team to 5-7 in year two looks like your building a future and trending in the right direction. just sayin....

The key this year is roster management optimization. Wins and losses don’t matter. Teach up the weakest points of the team the best you can. Save the most talent for years to come. Scrape off the non power 5 caliber players that you’ve observed over 5 months of the games and practice. And bring in top quality recruits

but CGC and the staff isn’t gonna publicly state it.

Totally agree. Winning 2 or 5 means nothing for a particular year. Heck, UGA will win double digits and this season will still be remembered as a failure for them. Next year we’ll win around 4-5 and will be in other games so then the light can be seen. Winning 6 this year then 4 next year would have been disastrous.

the “CPJ only” crowd will never buy this rationale and realistic take. They’re convinced that we can only win moving forward every 3rd year if we pry kids away from FCS schools. Why can’t another coach win with the belly flopping OLine? CPJ did!!!!! (Every three years)

Keep hoping this year will somehow be a failure to UGAg. They are still winning games. This may be our nightmare year.

First, GEAUX TIGERS! But, if the dwags do make the playoffs...then may we all pray that they get Ohio State in round 1. Fields beating them will maximize dwag tears in the most spectacular way.
Nightmare scenario. Fields gets injured early, dwags have an easy win. Clemson wins and then shows up with the team that almost lost to UNC to play the mutts.

I am the biggest LSU fan on the planet right now. And go aTm

Jesus, aTm has wins over Texas State, UTSA, Lamar, the Mississippi schools, and Arkansas. They ded.

An ex-coach told me that being 2-10 wasn't necessarily anything to blame the head coach for, but looking worse in game 10 against VT than you did in game one at Clemson definitely raises concerns about coaching.

Winning games isn’t the marker for success for UGA. Winning the games that matter are the marker. All I can say is that my UGA friends are just as miserable as many GT fans because they know this is yet another year of coming up short. They feel about the LSU game like we feel about the UGA game.

So we’re losing on purpose? Great!

How is UGA gonna win now that Bama is playing their backup QB???

In objective seriousness, it's still pretty unlikely they run the table. A&M, LSU, and 2 of Ohio State, Clemson, Alabama, Oregon, Oklahoma. I'll start worrying if they win the SEC Championship and get a weak first round playoffs opponent

Paul Johnson was the best game day coach I’ve ever seen but also the worst recruiter. The amount of walkons playing this year is crazy.
