Even with yesterday's disaster, we are fully capable of beating NC State. They are reeling from 4 straight losses. They are as beat up as we are. They are lacking depth.

Time to stop feeling sorry for ourselves. Our players can put the VT game in the rearview mirror and have a positive outlook on the UGAg game with a solid win against NC State

Their fanbase is in the same spot as we are right now.

We won't beat Georgia Tech
This team is completely broken in almost every aspect. Execution breakdowns on both sides of the ball. Im not sure DD Will ever get this ship righted. Recruits are de commiting, and it’s not going to improve anytime soon. It reminds me of Larry Fedora’s decent into the abyss. I’m just not sure where we go from here. Don’t get me wrong, I support the team, and I have been a supporter of DD from the beginning, but there just isn’t anything positive happening for the program right now.

Sagarin has us slightly better than NC State. With the home field, Sagarin favors us by 6 points.

ESPN FPI has NC State as a slightly better team with 45% chance of win for Tech.

Likely a close game, team better get ready for a fight.

At least they don't have a large starting QB with an even more imposing backup. State's QB shouldn't be able to out physical us. That said, we need to keep contain. We are terrible at keeping a scrambling QB from getting first down yardage on 3rd and 7 type situations

we need to learn how to tackle instead of trying to out physical the opponent by trying to grab a shoulder. and that's coaching's fault.

In our defense, on some play action plays and on at least one wheel route, we weren't close enough to the receiver to even grab a shoulder

ESPN FPI had us as a slight favorite a few days ago.

If VT’s backup QB played on GT’s DL yesterday he would’ve looked like a monster compared to most of the guys playing.

i'm all in on us long term, but i wouldn't give points to anyone in pads right now. Vegas has to put this thing at near even...no way NC state gets a touchdown or they'd have 90% action on NCSU.

The hyperbole regarding our talent level is absurd at this point, not to mention disrespectful to the players. Our DL is good enough that we stuffed Pitt (likely the best team in the Coastal) for most of the game. They're also bigger than VT's DL, which had its way with our offense all game.

We could use an infusion of talent, for sure. But y'all are talking like we don't even belong on the same field as these guys. That's crap. We've completely owned them the last 3 years despite having "FCS talent" in those years as well, according to many people on this board. Our current talent level is not a new occurrence. We've got low-end P5 talent (except for the OL) that is currently performing FAR below the level it should be at.

The team that played UVA should be a slight favorite, the team that played VPI should be an underdog. Sort of depends on which team shows up. I think we match up well and should win at home.
