GAMEDAY in the A

Will be interesting to see what the attendance is tonight. I’ll be warming my seat!

If anyone ends up with a spare ticket, feel free to bring it by the tailgate. I'll get someone drunk enough to pay you for it in the 5th street bridge porta potties.

At this point I need to stop dying on the hill. We've gone beyond alternate jerseys...wearing solid blue, solid gray, and blue again. The decision has been made that blue is in every way equivalent to white and gold. Everything from the field to the frequency of the uniforms to the branding graphics packages in TV/media to the cheerleaders.

Really ööööty branding strategy. If you can't get the basics right all the flair and juice and cute slogans in the world doesn't mean öööö.

I'll continue to wear white and gold for every game like an idiot. At this point they really should change the fight song though.

So much bigcry. :bigcry:
I told y’all a long time ago to get ready for a lot of blue due to the limitations posed by white and gold combos.

It's all a 'crootin tactic. The 18-23 yr old kids like to look fire while they play. Fashion and accessories on the field are important (not just jerseys....but sleeves, helmet visors, gloves, etc). They care not for the traditional look that's important to some boomer. Tech football had become mostly irrelevant to HS kids under Johnson. This is just one more thing CGC brings that raises the Juice level for the age group that actually can deliver us better football players.

What limitations

Uniform combos. Nearly every school uses at least 3 colors in their uniform palette and a lot of them use non-school colors (eg uga and silver pants). It just happens that one of our primary colors is really more of a lack of color. Add in that our gold is not a very dark shade and you end up with a lack of contrast. Enter navy to provide contrast and options for different uniform combos.

When during one of our national championship years we wore blue then it kind of becomes tradition right?

I think we ought to shock the world and come out in green and yeller like the Griffin Bears...exploding heads my friends. BOOM!

I have a white GT hat and blue jeans, but I don’t have a blue GT shirt. I’m f’ked.
