Rate Geoff Collins First Season

Graham looked like he had control of the offense last night. The two fumbles were bad (especially the second) but he otherwise looked pretty good. We desperately need size on both lines. There was a 3rd or 4th down play where NCST pushed our entire defense 4 yards from scrimmage.

I would go further and say that when the OL gives him time (which they were able to some last night) he delivers the ball well. He still lacks experience and the OL isn't consistent; so it is great his legs can get him out of situations.

Until Graham, I haven't seen a Tech QB stand poised in the pocket knowing he's going to get rocked yet still deliver a ball that he couldn't have handed to the receiver any better since Godsey.

This is poetry.

Graham is talented. Can't wait to see what happens with a more experienced OL and receivers+ legitimate competition creeping up to take the spot.

Coach Collins' season is about what I'd thought it would be. I am happy that I saw what I wanted- total effort despite the results and a relentless commitment to getting better.

My #1 take away from the VT game:

Georgia Tech was not ready to play: any team that comes out and has a delay of game on their very first play, at home, has a serious coaching problem. Completely and totally undisciplined.

IMHO we have entered into the Bill Lewis Era Part II......Watching his presser from sums up how I feel about Coach Collins. He looks like the guy who spent his life applying for his dream job and then when he got it was sorely unprepared for it - like a dog chasing a car who then catches one. What do you do now ?

There's zero excuse for a delay on the first snap. Zero. Telling us constantly how we are getting better in all phases of the game every day ? C'mon. You're in the 10th game and this was our worst performance - I say that over the Citadel game because we've had 6 more games and additional weeks of practice. If we have a process to improve, we aren't seeing any results. The other ACC games (Miami, Pitt, UVA) I think say more about how bad the ACC is this year. We are likely to get one win (barring NCST pulling a GT on Thursday night) in a historically bad conference.

I get that he has to try to stay positive and there's no doubt the injuries hurt (although I thought our strength and conditioning was supposed to make our players "elite"), but the last game was an embarrassment on a new level.

"I don't care about results, I care about Process." I'm a GT fan - I don't expect National Championships and yes, process matters. Recruit good people, get them educated, don't embarrass the school - but results do matter, and sorry Coach, your results are a disaster in year 1. The Program has been set back years IMHO.

Thank Jesus you aren't our Athletic Director.

CGC just matched PJ's win total in 2015, which really pisses the St PJ Fan club off, as they were hoping for a 2-win season so they could bitch all off-season.

This season didn't suck as much as 2015. We had huge expectations back then and shat the bed almost every game. Conversely, everyone expected us to blow chunks this year and we met those lofty goals. Onward & upward!
I for one am relieved that we got to 3 -- would be ecstatic to get to 4 ...

I rate it "exactly as bad as I expected," with the possibility that it's back to being okay in 2021.

Win against a bad team doesn't compensate for the shutout or Citadel
