at Bobby Dodd, November 13, 1993, a 38-28 win over Wake forest. The curse of the bad-luck-blue jackets was fully established after the 1-10, 1994 season, the last year Tech wore blue jerseys for all home games.

In 1995, O'Leary took the helm, and announced Tech would wear the traditional G/W/G uniforms for all games with his "Back to our Grass Roots" slogan. Also, he put the traditional stripes back on the pants that B*** L**** had removed in 1993 after the loss to F$U in 1992, in an attempt to copy their uniforms.

after 1994, the bad-luck-blue jackets would not appear again until the 2006 ACC Championship game versus Wake Forest, a 9-6 loss. They would return again in 2008 in the Peach Bowl, a 38-3 loss to LSU. The first appearance at Bobby Dodd was in 2010(the 20th anniversary of 1990), a 35-10 loss to Miami. The next time they showed up at Grant Field was in 2015, a 23-21 loss to a poor VT team, Frank beamer's last year.

The bad-luck-blue jackets would not make an appearance again until the 2018 season, the addidas uniform travesty. This included losses to Clemson, Duke and Minnesota last year, and unc and Pitt this year.

The “adidas uniform tragedy?”

Did you sleep through the Russell years? Russell gave us some of the worst uniforms in all of organized sport.

In retrospect, this was really only true from 2010-2014, and the bowl game in 2016 (when we wore 2014 jerseys because Russell didn't make us any gold alternates).

Other than those years most of the bitching was just about being embarrassed about wearing that logo. The uniforms were pretty solid and some of the best of our history from 1995-2009. I'd be happy if we never wore blue again but the alternate combination we wore in the 2006 ACC Championship game is the best look we've ever had wearing blue.

But yes, 2010-2014 were really bad.

And I'm not going to blame Adidas for the push to Blue. I saw the signs in 2017. This comes from the top (Stansbury).

As if GTAA had nothing to do with it. They were jizzing all over themselves at the time with the lead up to that reveal. We started putting hexacomb on everything.
