One of the keys to branding is showing some sort of consistency. Be that G/W/G or W/B/B I really don't care; but it needs to be consistent. Since no one has ever been happy with the wrong shades of gold look in the stadium, it may be time to switch to a color like Navy Blue. Don't expect fans to show up to the game in Gold if the team is decked out in Blue though. And don't expect the average fan to check out the uniform reveal each week to see what color the team is going to wear each week. Pick a look and make it the primary.

I’m a traditionalist in the G/W/G vein, with my favorite alt the well known Calvin Johnson pic, which with the now ‘official’ gold in tact with the adidas contract is no longer an option.

That being said, I’m ready to go all out G/G/G for the UGA game...

...half kidding, but I do want GT to wear either a gold or navy jersey so UGA has to wear white at BDS for a change.

I wish we would "Gold Out" instead of "White Out."
We tried that in 2006. I still have my free T-Shirt from when they handed them out to students. It looked terrible. 2007 onward it was "White Out".

Think Stone Cold drinking cold beer. Pretty damn cold, ain’t it? Really I think he’s just saying they looked good.

I'll take different shades of gold versus 18 different colors.

If it's not a whiteout, it's a gold out.
This is the correct answer IMO. Wishlist:

1) GTAA picks a single color and actively encourage fans to wear it to each and every game regardless of what jersey color the team is wearing.
2) GTAA and Bookstore make clothing (t-shirts, polo/golf shirts, pullovers and sweatshirts, hats) of said color widely available in the bookstore and online.
3) Fans purchase and wear said items consistently on game day.

For me that color is gold unless there is a special occasion like a whiteout mainly because navy really doesn't show up well. As mentioned, they tried this back during CCG's era and failed. I recall cheddar T-shirts and the stuff available was all over the place. There was no real consistent communication about it except the condescending "Next Time I'll Remember To Wear Gold" signs at the stadium. #2 has been addressed for the most part with the new Adidas stuff trickling in. #1 can't be that hard if they wanted to make it happen. #3 is the toughest part.

If wearing the same old uniforms is a turnoff to recruits then reason would suggest that these schools would be struggling to get good athletes: Penn State, Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Ohio State, Michigan, Clemson, LSU, Oklahoma, Texas and USC. I know some of these teams occasionally wear an alternative uniform. But, you can pretty much know what they will wear without a weekly reveal on social media. The college football playoffs will once again welcome four teams who did not wear eight different uniform combinations. Just think how dominant these programs would be if they would diversify their uniforms.
And if we were any of those programs, I’d agree. But we’re a below average FBS program that has been unattractive to most elite athletes for over a decade. The uniform thing is obviously a gimmick. But if we don’t have recent success to sell we have to provide something. That’s my take. I hope one day none of us will have to care about the uniforms because the on field stuff is more meaningful.

#2 has not even come close to being addressed. Go to the bookstore and you will find various shades of yellow & gold from a variety of manufacturers; and you can't expect the majority of fans to shop exclusively at the Bookstore or Addias anyway.

It's not perfect. Never said that, but having the Adidas stuff and a consistent shade (from what I have seen anyway, ADTS and "Tech Gold") from them is a positive step and certainly better than in the past.

This is why we can't have nice things.
