If wearing the same old uniforms is a turnoff to recruits then reason would suggest that these schools would be struggling to get good athletes: Penn State, Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Ohio State, Michigan, Clemson, LSU, Oklahoma, Texas and USC. I know some of these teams occasionally wear an alternative uniform. But, you can pretty much know what they will wear without a weekly reveal on social media. The college football playoffs will once again welcome four teams who did not wear eight different uniform combinations. Just think how dominant these programs would be if they would diversify their uniforms.
Clemson does not go in that list. They have different combinations of orange, white and purple that they wore before Dabo decided to make them an Alabama clone.

This is the correct answer IMO. Wishlist:

1) GTAA picks a single color and actively encourage fans to wear it to each and every game regardless of what jersey color the team is wearing.
2) GTAA and Bookstore make clothing (t-shirts, polo/golf shirts, pullovers and sweatshirts, hats) of said color widely available in the bookstore and online.
3) Fans purchase and wear said items consistently on game day.

For me that color is gold unless there is a special occasion like a whiteout mainly because navy really doesn't show up well. As mentioned, they tried this back during CCG's era and failed. I recall cheddar T-shirts and the stuff available was all over the place. There was no real consistent communication about it except the condescending "Next Time I'll Remember To Wear Gold" signs at the stadium. #2 has been addressed for the most part with the new Adidas stuff trickling in. #1 can't be that hard if they wanted to make it happen. #3 is the toughest part.
Since making Gold items is so hard, and since a lot of folks will not wear different White items the entire season -

Just make all items Blue, but with Giant GT LOGOS, etc that wrap around the item to hide the fact it is blue.

Can we just wear gold and öööö all this other nonsense
The fans? Yes, this is what we should do IMO. It could be white or navy, but gold makes the most sense on non-whiteout games because it "shows up" better than navy, gray , etc.. Fans have to do their part, but it really has to start with the school in terms of encouragement and gear availability.

That might be the exact point - it appears the school HAS set the terms as regards gear availability.

We pedantic Tech fans get triggered when someone says gold. Too many immediately start the whole yellow/gold/cheddar/maize argument and lose focus on the issue, which is to rally support for wearing something that looks like a GT fan should

It’s gonna be white surely because of “tradition.” Which is so stupid. Off all road teams to make wear white jerseys, it’s this one.

I agree 100 percent. I don't really care what the team wears. They put in the work, they deserve a say in what uni combo they wear. I would prefer the traditional gold/white/gold most of the time but it is not up to me. The only thing I can control is wearing GOLD in the stands.

Silly question... Why can't we do something like a striped jersey with gold and white, something like Celtic wears...

I think that could look really cool, and it would be unique. I wish I had Photoshop skills so I could take a stab at rendering one.

Would look like the Steele’s throwbacks but with white?
