Let's take a deep breath now that the season is over and honestly ask ourselves to assess the job CGC has done. I for one, thought we had more talent to win more than 3 games. Also, we rarely beat the spread and had some VERY BAD losses.

I'm trying to like CGC but have this gnawing feeling in the back of my mind that he is just an "empty suit", used car salesman.

Collins' will hold on to PatenFraude and wont win more than 5 games in a year in the next four years.
I didn't see any improvement on offense from the first game. PatenFraude got us shut out three times this year.
If Collins was smart, which he isn't, he would get a new O Coordinator.
Welcome to Chan version II

Didn't look like Collins was prepared to do those push ups either, but he did

We had more talent than 3 wins?

Name 22 quality GT players on the field today.

I honor each and every one of them for what they have done and what they mean and what their future holds. But I defy you to name 22 quality players that could hold their own today. Bonus points if you name 22 that your God-Coach brought on campus.

Winning 3 gives him a D or D+. Earlier in season we looked as though we wouldn’t win another game. If we had made it a little closer with the mutts he would’ve gotten a C-.
I did think we would win 5-6 games this year. But the injuries took their toll and my expectations dropped.
No one is going to give him 3 years to get back to 6-7 wins. That’s just not reality of the fans. It may be a solid expectation- but we will lose what little momentum we have before then.
Better find a way to get bowl eligible before the end of next year.
Tall order.
Patendude prolly needs to go - fair or not.
All of you who expected this and are going all “we’re worse off than like post death penalty SMU öööö” should explain to me why you’re not rich off of betting.
You’re just so smart!
Collins should get 3-4 years- but I’m not in charge of that.

Nah, he has some good people around him too. You could see the players develop as the season progressed. If they stay confident they can have a big second year.

Optimistic about defense and recruiting. Want to be optimistic about CGC growing into a solid HC at a major P5 level but He can start by making a necessary OC move.
My main frustration about CGC is the deal we give an unproven HC where we take all the risk on a 7 year contract. I don’t blame him for wanting to give it a try and for selling himself as our savior.
Beyond CGC, I don’t see how we’re competitive basically last in ACC tied with wfu for lowest football budget. We appear to be at least 2x off budget wise and don’t tell me it doesn’t matter. However I don’t want to funnel more money to incompetent stewards.
I hope our new president sees a positive correlation between football and alumni engagement and figures out some kind of creative resource plan, although I would bet against that.
If we aren’t going to put pieces in place to be competitive, let’s at least play uga early in the season, if not drop it and just try to compete with our academic peers like uva, Duke etc.

This is because all the people “in the game” convinced themselves that repairing the “damage to the program” CPJ brought us would be the most challenging transition in the history of sport. Thus we already excuse subpar results for at least 3 years. Trust them. They know what they’re doing. They played at GT. You didn’t.

I fully support Collins but I don’t expect we will win the Coastal or beat UGA under his leadership.

How many wins would you accept to say he did a good job?

If it’s more than 5 you’re just a delusional retard who’s opinion is meaningless
