Hate to admit but aftetbyesterfay my wife and I have joined the no more crowd. Many of my friends bailed last year. I gave them grief for doing so. I need to apologize eev though I was there yesterday. I love GT and want to show support of the true student athletes. However yesterday was miserable. No other way to describe it. Not just the game. The experience. I had barking from every angle. All the time. Near isle 102-103. My wife left at half. I stayed and it got worse by the minute. I expected a loss. Most of us did. I will not be back until there is a 180. Other games yes but not this one. Pains me to surrender but it looks like more and more are simply making the choice to avoid one of the most unpleasant situations imaginable for a fan.
you are welcome back when you think we have a shot at winning

I've been to several GT UGAg games, in Atlanta and Athens. I don't want to cancel the series because some middle aged guys are scared to go watch football.
Several?

Oh, well I see you are the expert then.

Where the öööö were you yesterday, badassmofo?

I hate being around these öööös as much as anyone else. With that said, if you’re able to but choose not to go to the game, you’re making it worse for your fellow Tech fans. It’s as simple as that.

Has nothing to do with winning. If my only choice to attend was based on winning exwife and simply despise attending a game with mutts barking in your ear non stop.

This iPhone typing is a challenge. Wife and I did not go expecting a win yesterday. Hope she does not read these posts. She is not my ex wife. Ouch. Anyway this thread reminds me of why I have had so few posts over the years. Maybe best I just read only

If you’re a Tech fan who can’t handle the environment at COFH in Bobby Dodd...then eat the tickets. Either that, or donate them to A TECH FAN that will go in your place. We’d be better off with the seats empty than you being a few hundred bucks richer, meanwhile you’re facilitating the existence of another barking retard in the stands.

This.

The AA needs to take a high res overhead pic during the game and people who sold their season tickets to mutts (directly or through a broker) need to get a personal call from a player asking them why they betrayed their team.

Sounds like a great grad assistant project. Something along these lines should be done.

Trust me. I would never allow a ticket of mine to end up in the hands of any opposing team.

Give the tix to a Tech fan who will sell them?

Sorry I couldn’t help myself.

I’ve said it for twenty years now. Tech should play UGA the first game of the year. It will help our program in the end.

Enjoying time with my family, because I work 24 hour shifts at the fire department along with working a second job on my off days. My fiance is also a healthcare worker who is on call on some weekends of which this was one.

I'm sorry you are a scared old man, you also have a terrible attitude and I can see why you are terrified to go to football games. You can't back up your big mouth.

I get it but there are issues and choices that are being made and I am one of many. The optics tell the story. I personally know several long term GT fans who have made this choice and more who left yesterday with the same thought. Demographics are in play. Time and age and health. Money is non factor for this group. Everyone has a story but it all boils down to willingly subjecting you and your family to that fan base. Winning expectation is not part of our choice. We love football. We love GT. I confess that I am not a GT grad but I have children grads. Does that make me a sidewalk fan? I don’t really care about my label or how I rank on the GT fan scale. My family has traveled from Boston to Tulane and Miami and all in between. My family started the year at Clemson and ended at BDS yesterday. The disdain for the mutts just amplifies everything. The 45 that VT laid on us hurt but the misery index was no where near yesterday. Tough choice but cardiologist approved.

I disagree. The expectation of competing and possibly winning is 100% why GT fans didn’t show up. If the records were reversed the place would have been packed with GT fans on a perfect fall afternoon.

Well most of these conversations have been petty children whining but in response to you, I think it is a combination. Losing certainly kills attendance in general. But I don’t particularly care for uga fans either. I dated a uga fan years ago and she was appalled at how uga fans acted on tech campus. They also cram in and around my seats. Barking while possessing every single advantage in the state generally makes me sick.

I get it but they don’t bark when they are getting their butts kicked and that’s what we have to change. Joe Burrow will finish his college career without ever witnessing a barking mutt.
