Impressive prediction. UGA defense is good against the run, but their weakness is the pass and LSU did that part pretty good.

And the UGA offense is very fun to watch fail.

Georgia is good. They are not elite.

LSU 38 Them 9

Geaux Tigers!
Congratulations are in order. Just about on the nose. Speaking as one who predicted in the prediction contest that UGA would pull a mild upset. I was wrong for multiple reasons after watching it twice but three that stand out:

1) UGA did not get pressure on Burrows consistently and trusted their DBs to cover LSU's elite receivers in what proved to be a mismatch

2) Burrows was every bit as good as advertised and had his second Heisman moment.

3) Your observation about UGA is spot on: "Georgia is good. They are not elite". I was shocked at how pedestrian they were on offense and how much better LSU's defense played than was predicted by the experts.

This was every bit as bad a beatdown as what they did to us in that Peach Bowl rout. God help Oklahoma. LSU might put up 60 points on them.

LSU has given up 28 points or more five times this year.
That is what I thought but the LSU defense I saw earlier in the year has gotten a whole lot better based on what they did against UGA last night. Man to man defense by some pretty good defensive backs that challenged Fromm to hit the tight windows and he was not able to do it consistently anyway.

This is a very real possibility. However, I believe the LSU game hinges on how much heat UGA can bring to stop Burrows. LSU has, by far, the best quarterback and the best receivers UGA will have faced this year. Their best chance is to get heat on Burrows and control the game by running the ball. They can do it but let me tell you the Bayou Bengals can score faster than I can eat a Louisiana gumbo and that's pretty fast. Even if your nightmare scenario were to occur with two SEC teams in the playoffs, the most impressive team I have seen this year has been Ohio State. It pains me to say this but I think Ohio State can beat either one of them like a drum especially UGA.
OK so I was wrong, about LSU anyway. I still think Ohio State would beat UGA handily but right now LSU is on another planet altogether.

As much as LSU has gotten better over the year, Uga has regressed. There really is no reason for Uga’s offense to be so incredibly terrible, but they are, and that goes straight to coaching. Uga would get thumped by any of the top 4 teams.

I called that exactly right.
That is akin to predicting the sun will rise in the East. By the end of the 3rd quarter, the number of red and black rednecks was considerably less wouldn't you say?
