In an effort to avoid the multiple UGA threads, I thought we could discuss the ACC bowl matchups.

While some think this is a down year for the ACC, these bowls give the conference a chance to prove itself. UVA has a decent chance against UF, but I think their weak defense will be their downfall. VT should not have a problem with Kentucky. WF and Looeyville also have winnable game. I think ACC can win 3 of these 4. The rest of the games are pretty meh. BC has a chance to prove the mediocracy of the non-P5 with their matchup against Cincinnati.

Pretty much the entire conference got a bowl except GT.

Sad.

I know the ACC is horrible this year but what a crappy slate of games.

Allowing a mediocre UVA into an Orange Bowl slot definitely cheapens that bid.

I think the ACC will end up doing okay when it's all said and done. I see these teams winning:

Clemson
ND
VT
UNC
Miami
Pitt

So 5-5, since ND is not an ACC team.

Just a quick glance, I see an even amount of wins and losses for the conference, with a few toss-ups.

First off, ND is off the board since they’re, as @coit alluded to, claiming one of our bowls spots, but are not a true conference brethren.

Wins:
Clemson, VPI, Louisville, Miami
Toss ups:
WF, UNC
Losses:
UVA, FSU, Pitt, BC

Of course outcomes of also-ran bowl games are practically impossible to predict, but I can see the ACC winning about half of their bowl games, not a terrible outcome considering how ‘not good’ the conference appears to be.

Give CGC a couple of years and we could be playing in Sun, Music City, Camping World, or Orange. But of course not Belk as GT, as we know, is prohibited from receiving a Belk bid.

I’m guessing they’re the worst team to ever get a NY6 slot in CFP era. We should have been dominating the Coastal since Beamer left.

Unfortunately, Music City is no longer an ACC bowl.
