#25 Jeff Sims

Love it. We pull in a high ceiling guy like Jeff Sims, and a guy with a high floor like Tuck. Sims will need to work and develop to reach his potential (completed 51% of his passes as a senior) but his ceiling is up there. Tucker will be a guy who can compete for early playing time though. It's so GREAT to pull in 2 QB recruits. We are extremely fortunate.

It will also push our current QBs to perform better, especially if these guys are ultra competitive.

Is this Phase One of Oversigning? How many slots do we have left? At 25 or 26 per year, roster conversion will be accelerated.

If you figure that the average attrition beyond running out of eligibility is 10% (eight players), I wouldn't be surprised if we had double that over the offseason. That's where oversigning and early enrollment comes in. But I'll leave explaining that to the guys who eat/breathe/sleep recruiting

Yeah good thing we abandoned SEC because we were so mad about over signing. Maybe they’ll take us back now.

I'm not sure if we really know. We're obviously planning on a lot of attrition by signing this many, so the question is whether we already know guys are leaving, or whether we're just hoping it works out that way. If it's the latter, we've gotta be prepared to force someone out if it comes down to it.
