But did they provide unauthorized babysitting services in their world-class daycare facility?

In response to the violations committed by the University of Georgia, the NCAA quickly moved to reduce the number of football scholarships at Georgia Tech.....

All the advantages in the world, but they can’t win. At some point they’ll be an embarrassment rather than the flavor of the week.

uG makes the NCAA a ton of money by winning a lot of regular season games, but never getting in the way of the higher profile nationally-branded teams who actually win real stuff. That’s the ultimate scenario for the NCAA. The NCAA would never punish that.

Everybody here hates ugag.

But besides the $10k fine:
-reduced official visits by 4
- took away 3 weeks of unofficial visits
- reduced evaluation days by 9 for spring 2020
- reduced evaluation days by 3 for fall 2019
- stopped recruiting athletes involved
- won’t recruit any prospects at one school for next 2 years.

Our problem is we never seem to have any competent legal representation to give us the real picture of what we need to do to address these issues. It has happened to us time and time again. That is why we get screwed - we don’t hire competent attorneys.

We don’t take strong enough proactive steps to satisfy the ncaa. And that isn’t ugag’s fault or the news media’s fault or the ncaa’s fault.

In the well known example all we had to do was not tell the coach certain things and to hold out one player out of one game.

But we allow ourselves to sit around a whine about crap instead of taking care of the problem. And nothing ever gets solved.

The other "punishments" are pretty useless with how much more efficient recruiting is nowadays
