LInebacker will be our weakest area next year just like it was this past year (tied with QB, OL and DL).

As to TE, I can't help but wonder if Wing gets a look there.

For those who might have forgot:

"Jordan-Swilling will get offers to play running back and linebacker, but on offense is where we like him best. At running back, he really his a nice blend of power and finesse. He has quick feet and he do a little dancing in the hole to make defenders before getting to the second level. He really sees the field well and he has a great feel when to cut-back. He is a bigger back and he is not easy to tackle. He can get those extra yards after initial contact. He is a back who has the ability to stay on the field due to his size, ability, and productivity."

News came out last year that he wanted to give RB a shot, then it never materialized. Unfortunately for him, the numbers CPJ left make it hard for the current coaches to justify moving him from LB to RB. Sad, but I wonder if he’s a risk to transfer out in order to find a better opportunity to play RB.

I thought the same when I saw the tweet.

Transferring to switch positions to RB for one season would seem to be a major challenge.

Kicker is absolutely an area we have to improve. If any school knows this it’s GT. When we have a solid kicking game we are a very good team. When we don’t we suck. I am always amazed that coaches don’t realize how important it is. Some of you may laugh, but the lack of touchbacks kills our defense and how many times have we’ve had momentum after a score then they flip field position due to crappy kickoffs and kick coverage. All I want is a kid who can kick it into the end zone and consistently make mid range field goals. I’d love to see a picture posted of our staff at a kickers house at 12:01am one day. It’s that important.

Hamp Gibbs just announced he will no longer play due to back problems. Looks like he was a walk on.

He got into a game this year and not in garbage time.

Did he under perform at LB or something?

I'm for him playing RB if he can contribute more there than LB.

If he leaves, I hope he graduates.
Think he has always wanted to be RB instead of LB, believe CGC gave him the opportunity last off-season too, but wasn't good enough relative to the need at LB.

If BJS switches to RB then we'll have to run the quadruple option to get enough reps for our backs...

BJS had a bad foot injury that kept him from being all that good at anything last year.
